MadalinStroe: 1. They are nerfing stun chances across the board and severely nerfing some stun skills.
To be fair, stun was king. If anything could do with a nerf, it's likely stun.
MadalinStroe: 2. They are nerfing blight chance bonuses on trinkets. Even less reasons for me to use Plague Doctor.
At first glance it seems to me that in this specific case some of the trinkets' blight chance is transfered to critical hit effects. Considering how Blasphemous Vial was basically mandatory, this might not be a bad thing. Could open up more Plague Doctor setups.
I don't get the "even less reasons", either, Plague Doctor was top tier.
MadalinStroe: 6. They are nerfing ANTIQUARIAN trinkets. OH YEAH! Those damn Antiquarians ruining Darkest Dungeon.
To be fair, the Antiquarian trinkets
were pretty strong. Then again, it's the Antiquarian. A somewhat combat viable Antiquarian is not a bad thing, especially due to some interesting and unique aspects of her skillset. Would be a shame to convert her to dead weight.
MadalinStroe: 9. Am I missing something, or have they just killed off all dancing parties? Two less characters that can effectively dance, leaving only crusader and... that's it?
Grave Robber, Shieldbreaker, Vestal, Abomination, to a lesser degree Jester and Antiquarian. I actually consider Highway Man to be a terrible choice for a dance party, because ideally you alternate Duelist's Advance and Point Blank Shot, which only works with an otherwise stationary frontline. Highway Man wants to be paired with someone like Leper, not another dancer.
MadalinStroe: 11. The Vestal and Vestal Trinkets are getting BUFFED. The one class that was an auto-include in all parties is getting buffed. That's some quality game design right there.
I think this is a playstyle issue. In terms of healers I prefer Vestal (albeit mainly for the hipster brownie points of running her in rank 2) to the other options, too, but she is FAR from an auto-include. The changes to stalling might devalue off-healers a bit and thus give more importance to Vestal/Occultist/Flagellant, but that remains to be seen. And even then the other two have brought more to the table so far.
At first glance this also seems like mostly ACC buffs. Not a bad thing, imo, especially for a skill like Dazzling Light, which was all but worthless before. Could open up some interesting options.
There's a lot of stuff in the changelog that I need to see in action. Bit difficult to judge specific trinkets, when the entire class is changed. The crit effects and changes to stalling meta look great on paper, however.
