Seems Dan Houser, Vice President of Creative and one of the founders of Rockstar Games -- alongside his brother Sam -- will be leaving Rockstar on March 11th. Sam will continue his role with the company.

No reasons were given but I get the distinct feeling it had to do with Take-Two's expanding micro-management of studios and projects... but dunno for certain.

Just came up on my news feed published 2 hours ago. Scanned page 1 and saw nothing so expected it hadn''t show up yet.
whoa, man.

i really don't like what they did with GTA ONLINE, but if one of the main people of the company leaves...nuff said, bro.

KInd of end of an era. Oh man, both fondness when it comes to Rockstar's GTA games, oh boy the fun... and yikes! as not so much fun for the 'owners' on Steam (luckily not one of them), when soundtracks licensing expiration did strike.

At least with Vice City, those having already purchased it weren't affected, but were with San Andreas,as affected tracks were pulled and replaced with an 'update'. Same with GTA IV (plus let's not forget relying on Windows Games Live no longer supported by MS). There is wisdom in still purchasing games in physical retail form.

After that V rather a let down and hard pass Online version.
