Crosmando: Dogs: Don't clean themselves, defecate anywhere they like, need to be walked/exercised, noisy and require lots of attention.

Cats: Clean themselves, dig holes when they defecate and cover it up, don't require walking/exercise, are quiet and don't need much attention.

Dogs are you even trying?

paladin181: Why would you want a pet you don't have to interact with?
One should want to interact with a pet of their own volition...not just because they have to to maintain it all day long. ;)

My one cat years back(which died at the ripe old age of 16) caught a bat that had somehow gotten into our home once. Dunno how it got in.....place was basically sealed tight yet somehow it did. My mom pitched a fit at the time as she loathed bats and we had to wait for animal control to come get it as my mom insisted.

Darvond: Remember what dogs used to be? That is, wolves, coyotes, and other wild dogs.

How did we go from that to little [REDACTED]s that can't even breath properly and have bug eyes?
Revenge.
