BreOl72: I mean, the OP played the game already two years ago, and if we go with the assumption that he hasn't downgraded his system in the meantime...

Starkrun: Yes that jives then the current build of Cyberpunk 2077 will not work, it does not support windows 7. It was patched out a while ago.

It doesn't matter if it did work the current build will not work on windows 7, only windows 10 x64 (or greater) with a DX12 GPU.
Maybe I missed something important, but why are you assuming the OP runs a Win7 machine?
Nowhere in this thread has he given any information about his rig.

All he said was that he run it through Galaxy.

DoomSooth https://www.gog.com/forum/general/cyberpunk_refuse_to_work/post11 is not the OP.

paladin181: Did he though? He has no achieves.
He's "Started the game" two years ago. If you start a game and it crashes (as he claims), I'm sure that applies.
I mean, I don't know from what point on Galaxy counts the playtime, but 34 minutes seems to be a long time before it (quote OP): "...simply crashed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I presplay, it shows me the popup for 5-10 seconds and proceeds to say there was an error."

Shrug...as long as the OP doesn't tell us more, this is all just poking around in the fog.

Yes, you did, its the time span, the game changed dramatically during his purchase to now. and I pointed that out in the post you quoted. This is the main thing that I see from a troubleshooting standpoint and the most likely reason it's not working.

toxicTom: Others already have posted helpful advice.
But why $100?? The game never has been as expensive.

BreOl72: I wondered about that too, but since he's talking about a "code" which he "put into this site", he probably bought some special edition, two years ago.

Now, I really don't remember the prices for the several special and collector's editions, when the game got released, but maybe there was one around for $100,-?
Yeah, there were a few special editions out there:

Someone forgot to tell Windows 7. Current version still works with it.

And again, we don't know if the game process was hanging in the background. 34 min is totally reasonable in this case.
