It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I live in the USA, I traveled to Europe last year and took advantage of some of the free games during the winter sale (currency was in Euros, although it was free so there was no actual charge).

But now, if I'm not logged in then the website currency is in USD but as soon as I log in then the currency switches to Euros and I can't change it. The option at the bottom of the page doesn't allow for change (no drop down or anything) and the setting in my account locale settings also does not allow me to change (also no drop down or anything).

Anyone else encounter this issue?
You probably got infected with the eurozone virus. It's not fatal. Unless you're Greek

Yes, happened when I travelled. Clearing browser cookies solved it for me.

Go into your account settings and make sure your locale is set correctly, save it and then if it still doesn't show up you can remove the gog_lc cookie individually from cookies on the website, or remove all GOG.com cookies and it should reset in theory. GOG also uses localStorage but most browsers clear that along with cookies as well. If the problem persists then I'd say there must be a glitch in the GOG website which wouldn't be unheard of as I had a currency related problem last year through part of this year that took them eons to fix. I kept being treated as if I lived in the USA with USD prices instead of living in Canada with USD prices. Even though the currency is exactly the same, the amount we're charged for games differs in Canada versus the US in the same USD currency, so I was being charged more for some titles than I should be in Canada. They eventually fixed that problem though, and then a few months ago further made things better by accepting Canadian currency, so now I get CA_CAD instead of CA_USD or US_USD.

Either way though, worst case - contact GOG support and yell at them through a megaphone, they'll fix you up either right away, or stretched over a 9 month period of time but they eventually sort it out. :)
