So, I read this article about "This game is made out of suffering" on Polygon.
It is a story about brothers who own a developer studio called Butterscotch Shenanigans. They were mostly developed mobile games. And then one day, one of the brothers diagnosed to have cancer. In the process they made a decision to make a totally different game from they made before (not endless runner-type of game).
And they made Crashlands. They labeled it as Action-Crafting RPG. But from the trailer it is similar to Don't Starve in term of camera view. And of course many elements of foraging, gathering, building and crafting like in Terraria or Minecraft. But it seems they are more focusing on action (battle) and crafting. In the trailer we can see that we can defeat the enemies and make their bodies part to be crafted into equipment (weapons & armors) just like in Monster Hunter series. They also mention about "Infinite Inventory Manage it self" -which I think player won't be bothered in managing inventory like in other survival-crafting games.
They aimed to make the game cross-platform between Desktop and Mobile, with their respective price tag are $15 and $5
It is currently in pre-order on Steam, and as always, it would be nice to also have this game on GOG. So if anyone also want this game to be on GOG, I have made a wishlist entry : http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/crashlands
Feel free to vote.
