ddickinson: You remember the old saying: "You're only as young as the woman you feel." :-)
GOG has a habit now of not commenting these days. If they come out and say the game is not finished and who knows when it will be, the who would buy it? Personally, judging by the list Ragnar posted of the things they left out and that are not finished, I am willing to bet that the game is never patched to completion. It won't be financially viable for the company, as by the time they get around to it, the fan base will have died, so it will just get abandoned. Annoying many customers. GOG really shouldn't let them sell the game, but I guess they don't want the developer to pull all their games from GOG.
Also, did you notice that the Bestsellers section on the front page is now called Popular? This makes it a lot easier for them to manipulate the list for their own gains. Just like they did with the reviews on the new pormo page layout.
I totally read that as "new porno page" and I was like "Que?" for a split second.
Personally a lot of gog's decisions lately have been disappointing to me and I guess it's the price we pay for their continued growth. I just hope they don't lose sight of their roots too much.
adaliabooks: Evening all.
After all that talk of pizza earlier we decided to have some for dinner, so I've just finished making the dough.
Going to have them while watching the finale of Broadchurch later.
They also had easter eggs for £1 in the supermarket... so we bought 6... I don't see any of them lasting till tomorrow night (but in our defence they are only small...)
How is everyone? Got any plans for the rest of the evening?
Oh I'm anticipating Broadchurch's release stateside in March. I could always find it online and watch it but I'll wait for BBC America to show it properly. I loved the first season despite very rarely enjoying anything resembling modern-day police procedurals. The two main cast members help a lot, longtime fan of both, and of course the story is anything but a normal procedural show.
They tried to mount a series based on it here with the Tenth Do-I mean David Tennant reprising his role but it failed, probably too cerebral and deep for most 'murrikans.
