NoNewTaleToTell: Hi! Always happy to see you here :)
I did a complete Mage playthrough in Dragonfall and gotta admit, I REALLY enjoyed it once I was able to throw some points into Body and picked up some crowd control spells...which is to say that I REALLY enjoyed the second half of the game haha. I just tried a melee character in Hong Kong, shoving all of my Karma into melee stuff (which is my Shadowruns MO, start off focusing exclusively on building up my skills, then my body). It seems usable, but I'll need to do a rebuild with some Karma thrown into Body.
Just out of curiosity, did you ever use Blitz in Dragonfall? I ended up using him instead of Dietrich as one of my must have team members, even choosing him over the others in some cases just in case I needed a decker :P
And on a completely unrelated note, my "Summer Sale Spree" has come to a close for the most part. I still might pick up a couple more games, but the brunt of it is done.
I picked up

The Sims 3 has a bunch of DLC marked way down on Steam, so I might splurge and pick up the expansion packs I don't have. I paid $20-ish for the base game bundled with Showtime, the combined remaining expansion packs would cost about $40 total, so that'd be $60 for the "full" experience, which I think is fair enough considering just how much content there is overall. The "stuff packs" however, can sit on Steam's digital shelf for all of eternity for all I care.
I did use Blitz a couple times in the beginning, but I found him to be really sub-par in everything but decking... I think that's actually what led me to decide to re-roll as a Mage with a bit of Decker skill, so that I could go on missions with decking sections without him (I did however still miss out on some Decker options in conversations and such as a result, however, as my decking skill wasn't up to par with Blitz's). I went through a similar feeling with Dietrich actually, wondering, "do I really want him along?" and it was a tough call whether to swap out him or Blitz... but I found that, more often than not, I'd prefer to have Dietrich along (though, admittedly, that may just be because my own character had some decking skill and not some shamanic skills.)
Is your steam profile private and such? I'm not one to like imposing, but I will admit I really enjoy getting to spy on people's wishlists from time to time. :)
*oh, and whenever you get around to playing Kingdoms of Amalur, do some Googling to find the patch that adds balance to the game's difficulty. It's basically an "added difficulty" patch, which I quite honestly can't even believe I'm recommending to anyone for any game, as I most often prefer games to be easier than they are (I love to game, but generally suck at it)... But I think with Amalur, it was a matter of the dev team going under before they were able to properly balance the game... as a result, by the time you're a quarter of the way through the game or less, you're already horribly overpowered and can almost one-shot anything in the game. If you don't mind, then it won't be an issue, as the world is gorgeous and the combat is as well, even when too easy.
But if that would lead to you getting horribly bored, it really is worth installing the patch. I personally found I had to make adjustments after installing the patch, as the default settings in the patch were actually a bit too difficult for me, but (as long as I'm remembering this correctly) you're able to customize a decent bit of it. Makes the game much more engaging.
Glad to see you around as well! I get the feeling we both likely lurk more than we post, but it's always nice to cross paths. :)
