j0ekerr: I'm off to have lunch so I'll miss the end of the sale, and won't be back later, because deadlines looming and want to concentrate what time I still have left to revising for tomorrow.

Have a pleasant day everyone of you. Don't let the cyborg vampire zombie bedbugs bite.
Seriously, don't.
Well, I managed to slip in and get The Fall and Age of Wonders the Wizards Throne
this morning before the sale ended. :)

Got the two games with experience points as well, Spelunky and Gabrial Knight Sins of the Father as well. heh!

ddickinson: Good morning!

All is going well here. How are you today?
I'm glad to hear you are doing well. :)

I'm tired, restless night since I had to get up early for a doctors appointment, just a routine management thing.

I almost didn't get my last purchases of the sale, and wouldn't have if I didn't have to get up early.

EndreWhiteMane: Wasn't it you that was working towards a GED though?
The key word being "was."

Got it about two months ago :-)

I still regret not actually attending much of high school though. Not necessarily for the learning part, because it always felt like I had been learning the same things over and over since 6th grade. It was boring as pluck. But I missed out on quite a lot of the social aspect of high school, which probably would have been good for me...

Fairfox: Toast 'n' strawberry jam, or toast 'n' Marmite? Got an hour to decide, lolz. I has jam eeevery day, but it's so. GOOD. But-but Marmite is salty goodness I gots addicted to in the UK (plus Imma going back soooon), and it's been an age. Bearing in mind that's perdy much it for food until dinner out laterz.
There is a well established saying in the UK about Marmite, that you either like it, or hate it. I have never been too keen on it, but I am glad you found something you like. The Australians have a version based on it called Vegemite, but I don't really know about it as I have never seen/tried any.

Also, I wish you good luck on your new thread. I hope it won't get derailed too much and that some helpful things can be shared there that may interest, educate, and maybe even help someone.

I was present at High School and missed out on a lot of the social stuff. :P

I also didn't finish High School. I dropped out and got a job. :/

I did manage to get a GED and went to a trade school later on, Computer Learning Center,
then went into business as a programmer, eventually worked my way up to being an
Information Scientist and efficiency expert, then started my own business and did
consulting, then retired early after working myself to death. heh!

Yes, verrrry boring.
I had just a very few good friends in school, like I do now, the rest of the social stuff I avoided like the plague.
Plus I started working full time when I was 14 so I got all the social interaction I needed.
I knew you had passed the GED, I just didn't want to make you feel bad in case I was wrong.

Hihi... Same for me in middle school :-p
Still, some social stuff is better than absolutely none at all.

Well, it helps that I actually had some people I liked this time.
Hated my High School so much. >_<
Not that the people in my class were all too bad but I just wouldn't want to interact with them outside of school.

I've done a lot of different jobs, never scooped elephant poop though.
I bet that it pays pretty well, as a specialized skill. :P

Fairfox: Thankies to both! Yah, we'll see about that thread. I thinks it'll be short-lived but who knows!

As for "knows", I didn't know about Vegemite. I wonder if it tastes teh same? There's a British section in one of mah local supermarkets but it's all actually under 'Irish', which I find funny. I guess teh Irish community is bigger, hey? S'not the main supermarket I go to, tho, which has waaay moar (and is labelled correctly). I like chocolate digestives, hob knobs (!), PG Tips and plenty moar I can't currently remember (too early).

Mebba I'll seek out Vegemite to compare. I also like that yellow mustard. Hot! And horseradish.
Well fingers crossed it will last a little while then, and be of some help to you.

That does seem a strange place to put it, and one that I think will annoy the Irish a little. I guess since there is a strong tie to Ireland and the US it kind of makes sense that the Irish section is lager, although for the most part Irish and British food are the same, with only some things different. And now you made me want some McVities chocolate hob knobs (very tasty). :-)

I am not sure how popular outside of Australia Vegemite is, but I hope you can find some to try.

I was a 2-4 friend guy in school. When I stopped attending, I mostly stopped seeing them altogether :-\ I guess they moved on and found new friends at school.

I wouldn't have felt bad if you were wrong. Besides, I tried not to make too big a deal out of it when I passed, so I'm surprised you remember :-p
