... well... I don't mind :-p

I tried to play vanilla Skyrim. Couldn't play more than 11.4 minutes without having to tweak and mod it so the FOV and broken shadows wouldn't give me a headache. Once I finally got past that, I was just plain bored to tears :-p

CarrionCrow: Man, you need to play it more. You missed out on the tens of hours you can spend on managing inventory and selling stuff! That's, like, totally the best part right there.
Especially without SkyUI.

CarrionCrow: When you're that insecure as a person, I guess the tendency is to latch onto whatever you can, no matter how ridiculous.

It perpetuates both intelligence and stupidity. Course, the movie Idiocracy springs to mind, the balance shift as morons spawn at a far faster rate without thinking of the consequences, until the world is generally dumb as a brick.

Yeah, when mods are no longer really optional, but required, the developers have screwed up.
But they'll keep doing their thing since money ultimately talks and people keep buying the shit.
And yes, not only does Bethesda screw up, they fully intend to get paid for other people fixing their mistakes.
That is very true.

I think I read that Bethesda might be considering paid mods again, but who knows, I would not put it past them doing it. I think this time they will try it with a new game, rather than an established one perhaps.

omega64: I win anyway, I said eventually. :D

How does that make you win? Me saying not going to play it kind of ruins your "eventually" part.

avatar
omega64: Apparently not quite satisfying as a single player game.
Can't say I've played it myself though.
Thank you. I figured it would be more of a co-op game, given that it is a board game.

akhliber: Not the most... successful of walks... we'll try again later. If there's still any connective tissue left in my shoulders. ;)

I've played it and really enjoy it, but I'll warn, it's a board game, and seems like it would truly come alive in multiplayer. Single player is doable with AI taking over for the other players, but I get the impression it really limits the experience and would likely turn some off as they'd see it as "depending on multiplayer."
But I've come back to it several times and played, and I've always enjoyed it, even if it's just with the AI enemies.
*and hello!* :)

*also to add: I do recall the AI enemies taking their turns a bit too quickly to tell just what they were doing at times, so it can be frustrating. Not sure why it didn't bother me as much as it does most just judging by reviews, maybe I just like looking at all the purdy. haha
*big healing hug for your shoulder*

Thank you for the answer. I am just going through some games that look interesting and trying to find out more. The game looks nice, and I should be able to run it, but I am just not sure at the moment.
Good afternoon all you freds!

the exam went well. It might not be a dazziling grade but I'm sure I've passed.

How's the sale coming? (I myself am not really intent on purchases)

That is wonderful news, congratulations! *sets of lots of fireworks*

CarrionCrow: Dear gods, you are so much more sensible about it than I am.
I fall into the "this is actually how the developers intended the game to be" trap.
Course, I end up screaming that the developers are fucking morons for making such bad choices...
Eep, I can't imagine how many more hours I'd have put into Skyrim if I were heading back to a merchant every time I'd cleared another third of a cave. I certainly find other ways to spend far more time than i should in games like that (mainly just wandering around lost and content about it, like in real life) but just hit a breaking point with the carrying capacity issue, at least in games like that.

Yes, as in "now I won't play it", not "I won't play it now" as in time. :-)

Can octopuses cry?
Day 3, and the sale's starting to get on my nerves.
Another shot of "well, nothing for you this round, now wait another 24 hours".

If he is going to cry over a game that he is not even connected to then you can't expect me to show any sympathy with that kind of behaviour. :-)

They are very emotional beings really. There are a lot of things that sadden them deeply while they drift through the dark depths.

It's just that noone ever notices them weeping because there is water all arround them already.
Good afternoon dear Fredians
