Stilton: You should have been at Bletchley Park during WW2 - the war would have been over in ten minutes.... :-)
I have been there, a very interesting place. I wrote a piece on Turning and his many contributions to the war and computer science. Sad really how he was treated later in life, but I guess that is how things were in those days. But still, not a way to treat someone who along with his team deserved to be classed as war heroes. The second world war was very similar to the first. German lost quite early on when you think about it, the rest was just them not being willing to accept the fact. Which I guess could be seen a compliment to them. Internal politics alone would have seen the Nazis fail eventually. Hitler should have perhaps done as Stalin did in regards to the officers, then he might have had a more loyal backing.
I am not really sure. I like a nice story in my FPS games, so a good game would need that, a good plot and good gameplay. I just tend to not say good game for those I mentioned as I know people did not like them. Half-Life was good, as were the early COD games, the WW2 ones. There are probably a few others but my mind is a little blank on FPS games I have played at the moment. I will have a think and let you know.
