CarrionCrow: Tell me about it.

Maybe half a dozen more, if I add endless runner-type items in with it. Not really platformers in a strict sense, but there are similarities in mechanics.
avatar
ElTerprise: Well that doesn't sound too bad...half a dozen. You'll be done with them soon(™?) :)
100 percenting all of them will probably take a couple hundred hours.

Hm...i guess talking you out off 100 percenting them all would be futile, right?

Yeah, in this case.

Just hit a level where everything gets turned on its side, and I'm told there are no save points.
Moments like this are why I 100 percent these games. I do it out of spite.

The fun part about this one in particular is that the controls aren't even great.
No double jumping by default, no wall jumping, no running, no ducking, none of that, and the character moves like they have a broom stuck up their ass.
Good controls are pretty goddamn important when a game's structure generates a high probability of a player rage quitting. These games certainly aren't fun, in and of themselves. So the bad controls erode the already minimal attachment a person's going to have to the game.
The more I read Pathfinder, the more I want to play an RPG.
-looks at RPG section of library-
Oh boy...think I need to get more specific on what kind of RPG I want.

Sorry for the late reply. That sounds fantastic for platformer...bad and limited controls are the worst thing that can happen to a game of that genre...

I'm really tired now. Going to sleep now. I wish you a good night :)

Hi everyone who is reading this.. hope you are either sleeping or gaming well.

Hi to you, Crow, hope you are surviving those platformers. The rain wasn't done with us - it rained all night again, wonderful rain. A whole lot of sound and fury yesterday, had to unplug all the electrical stuff. Lightning here laughs at puny surge protectors.

Good news for the huge Kruger National Game Reserve, where many of the animals were dying in the drought. Rivers that were dry are now raging torrents, and there will be water for a long time.

A little too much at once, but better than none at all. Visitors are warned to watch our for animals crossing the (flooded) roads (?) and for tortoises and other small animals drinking from puddles. :-)

Editing to fix the stoopid URL - I always struggle to get those right, out of practice...

Good morning. =)

Yes, rain is great. Actually got some here today. I'd choose that over a season full of heat any day.

That's very good news. Not exactly keen on the thought of so many animals dying from dehydration.

Aside from the joy of unplugging an entire house's electronics from time to time, how are you doing?
Hi souper, hope you have recovered. Here's another jazz lady to help you feel better.

Congratulations on the giveaway, it's not horrible at all. I'll go there now and post a soup recipe for you. :-)

Lots of +1's.

superstande: Good Afternoons!
Stop buying games! :P
I made my first giveaway! It's horrible! ;)
I feel so tired now.
*goes to make coffee*
Growl - GoG is being a huge pain. Wouldn't post my post, so I redid it, then found it had posted twice. Not what I need when my time here is short...

Good to see you. :-) Glad you had rain also, and I agree about that, I'd love a whole season of rain and cool weather. I'm rather tired of sunshine.

Fortunately it's not a whole house, just part of a small cottage. But it's frustrating to have to live without the electronics just to get the rain. Luckily I have a great little USB lamp which I make sure is always charged, so with that and the laptop, I am mostly ok.

Did you find a role-playing game to take your mind off platformers? I bet not, you prefer to suffer.
<laughing>

Sunlight is vastly overrated...;)

I'm sure it is. Having to unplug things here is a royal pain, and this place doesn't get the massive lightning you've mentioned.

Actually, I skipped it all for the time being. Put on True Detective instead, have been watching that. I'm up to my eyes in games, and they'll all keep until I feel like playing them.

Good Morning, Rain Seasonal Sort Of Place!
Thank you for the recipe! Wonderful! I have to save this stuff.
Cooking has been encouraged by many people for me. And I'm starting to dig it :)

I'm feeling better, slept quite long. I needed that. It's silly when you don't always know when you've slept enough. I've made the mistake many times of getting up right away after just 5 hours of sleep... When I could've just done another 5 and felt really good all day.

Hope you find a way to live amongst all those changing natural phenomena!

Good Mor-Evening, Crow! :P
I've managed to play RPGs through by first finding out the specifics of what I really want at the moment...

Not sure if it is any help at all... But one reason I have given up on long epic RPGs is when I found out that all the mechanics were too complex/simple, the story was too long/short, I hated the characters for being too cheerful/gloomy... :)

I mean it's a long journey, better find one that suits the current needs as much as possible.
Good morning eeveryone *big hugs and waves*

Hope you're all doing at least ok :)

Utopia...?
Just eating salted sunflower seeds and trying to get into another epic session of Torment.
