I don't mind flowers, I just don't like the bullshit way in which they're utilized.
Which of course goes back to not being a fan of the day itself.
As for the last part, that tactic/approach/whatever is something to avoid.
Not a big fan of pressuring anyone to do anything in general.
I completely understand how you feel. Me and my partner get flowers for each other all the time, often ones we pick from the wild near our home. As I said earlier to adaliabooks, I also don't like the whole forced aspect of the day. The day is a nice excuse for making a little extra effort, but it should not be something that is compulsory, which is sadly how many couples see it.
