Overture right now. 31 hours in and counting, by Steam's measurement.
It was ok, normal. But that is fine. Normal is good :D

The writing is completely fantastic, the characters are great, the puzzles can be really grim, the music is really good...it's basically just a 9/10 or 101/10, by my standards at least. It was my 2015 Game of the Year.
^This this this^! I second that recommendation! A truly awesome creepy atmosphere. Bizarre and freaky in the best way. Like if Tim Burton and Stephen King collaborated to make a video game, and it turned out awesome. I couldn't tell you anything I didn't like about Fran Bow, other than I got stumped a couple of times and had to request help from someone who had already completed it :-p

Why do I always play the best games in January, then it all goes downhill? Looking back at my "games completed" lists over the last few years...
2013 - The Witcher 1 & 2
2014 - Alpha Protocol and Costume Quest
2015 - Blackwell
2016 - Fran Bow... but the year isn't over yet ;-)

Agreed. Normal beats garbage.

It was promising initially, but between the endless grinding for next to no benefit, the lag when enemies pile up and ultimately dull gameplay, it's worn more than a little thin. Would much rather it be over.
