Strider for the Genesis/Mega Drive was one of the good ones for the system.

It's still 2-D. You go from area to area, completing objectives, exploring, finding new attack, mobility and health upgrades while progressing in the story. It's fun.

My backlog has lots of company. There are so many more members than there are in my frontlog :-)

You mentioned Strider earlier.It's on my rental backlog. Do think it's worth playing it. Afaik it's pretty much a reboot of the series right? Knowing any other game of the series is not necessary?

It's not story-heavy at all from what I've seen. Dystopian future, asshole scumbag dictator, highly skilled cyber-ninja type person sent to kill said dictator and free oppressed population. That's it.

Well basically the usual then...and gameplay wise it sounds okay from what i get from your previous posts right?

The gameplay's smooth, it looks good, feels good. The variety will increase as I explore more and get more upgrades.
