I'm still looking at the weekend sale for potential surprises, but I think I've got everything I'd choose as (half)worth owning. Only Robinson's Requiem, Amerzone and Dragon Lore have any marginal appeal now, but I'm not gagging to own them.

Out of those, if you only pick one, I'd say go with Robinson's Requiem. But even then, I'd only suggest it if you like the idea of a hardcore survival simulation that will kill you repeatedly as you learn how to keep your character alive.

That's the one which most caught my eye, and it comes with Deus as well, which adds to its appeal. I think I can feel the purse strings start to loosen...

It's a dollar and a half. Very small investment. I've spent more money on things that are worse, that didn't last nearly as long.

You should probably stop buying for a while in that case. It might take a bit to beat all those.

Silly people. They're going to get sanctioned to hell and back. Oil doesn't equal income if no one buys it from you.
Of course they could just be looking for a Netflix connection or something....

Maybe. Hopefully they link into a lot more than just that. Otherwise they're spending way too much effort.

Additional - All right, time to pick my Diablo character since I just burned out on the speed game.
What do I feel like yelling at for dozens of hours...

Something you can complete in that time would be good. What are you hankering after?

EDIT: misread that - thought it was a dozen hours...

EDIT EDIT: Yes, my head is completely up my arse...

What (who) are the choices?

If you've got a barbarian I always like cracking nuts with a mallet or similar... Oddly, I've never been much into the magic side of things, so some ponce with a pointy hat wouldn't really do it for me. Is it 3 you're playing?

Let's see...there's the barbarian, the crusader, demon hunter, monk, witch doctor and wizard.

Which type do you normally play? You could go for something completely different. But familiarity is such because it works. I'm assuming the game is well enough balanced to make any of them an equally rewarding experience. If it was me I'd opt for clobbering things, so its the low IQ Conan clone, hands down.

EDIT: I'd DEFINITELY go for it if it looks like this...

Rewarding....-stifles hysterical laughter-

You've never played Diablo 3 before, have you.

The only way this shit's anywhere near interesting is in hardcore mode, since it comes with the risk of losing everything with no way to recover. You die, you stay dead. Doesn't matter whether you last 20 minutes or 100 hours.

Thinking I'll avoid demon hunters for now since I did my last hardcore run with one.

Gods, I want this game gone so I can play something with a real story.

Nope, never played it, although if all of the characters were variations of lard knickers in the picture it would probably be the ONLY game I played, and screw the lack of story. She looks like she should be dropped from a Flying Fortress.

The hardcore thing looks like it could lead to a whole continent of pain. 100 hours in and you have to restart because of sudden and unavoidable death? I couldn't do it, I wouldn't want to do it. Imagine doing that two or three times? Make it quick and get onto better things.
