innocuous77: I hear koalas are mean. Like teenage girl mean. Like kill you with a look mean. Like dress me up like a Panda mean.

gunsynd: Well they don't need a switchblade, their claws can rip out an Adams Apple very easily....

Good night Inny,Crow until next time, been a pleasure..:-)
I'm still not seeing the good parts... so the cute cuddly bears will kill me too?
3:30 in the morning...can't sleep...and I'm fiddling around with desktop shortcuts and downloaders.

Kinda early to tell but I think I'm alive. Have to work today so I figured I better give my body a couple of hours to prepare.
Getting close to finishing Soulstorm? That was quite a session you had yesterday. ;)

Makes sense, between the screwy sleep and the med change.

Still working on it, two runs are chock full of super-samey defensive fight after defensive fight after defensive fight, and the third run has me commanding idiots with tissue paper for armor and Nerf guns for weapons who piss themselves and lose whatever pathetic combat effectiveness they had to begin with at the drop of a hat.

So in other words, it's a lot of "fun". -laughs-

You make it sound right up there with root canals. :-)
I've been mostly playing Shadowgate and a silly little thing called Dwarf Quest, which is actually a lot of fun.

With a root canal, I'd at least get some good drugs when I was done. ;)

How are you liking Shadowgate? Played the NES version once upon a time but haven't really gotten into the remake yet.

Love it so far, first game in a while to actually make me lose track of time. Very well done I think.
Been reading some of the stuff on LoX too and just playing around, getting used to the controls helped a lot. It's still way over my head complexity wise but I'll keep at it.

Edit: The 'competition' has Shadowgate for 5 bucks. ;/

That sounds promising. =)

Don't give yourself too much grief on LoX, more than one of the systems isn't exactly explained well.

People can say what they want about the obtuseness of Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, but they had exhaustive manuals so that as long as you could read and comprehend, you could understand exactly what every stat and system meant, both in the short and long term.

LoX is in dire need of that level of clarification.

It's not the best choice for an RPG novice but there's something about it that makes me want to keep at it. Graphics, music and narrative keep 'calling to me' :-) And I love the exploration part.

ddickinson: Regarding all the Korean spam the forum has been getting lately. Do you think it is a bot, or a person? I would think a bot would be doing it 24/7, while the spam seems to be in stages, as though a person or persons were manually posting them.
That's spam? I just thought Crow was board ... Baby Metal?
I just noticed steam says I've played LoX for less than an hour, it's actually a few hours. Am I doing something wrong?
avatar
innocuous77: Nope - I could only watch the first few minutes before I imagined furry spiders attacking me...

gunsynd: Do not (repeat) do not come to Australia or I will train a blowfly to go for the throat:_)
That's where I know I'm welcome... hint aim for the large guy in the koala suit... (Hi Honey!)
