Now flipping off my screen as I kill off the green dragon, one of the nastiest monsters in Puzzle Quest 2.

Frigging thing had almost 1,200 hit points, plus poison gas for damage over time, plus tail whips. No idea how in the hell anyone is supposed to beat them as a sorcerer without the level 50 spell that detonates almost everything on the screen and applies all exploded tiles as damage to the enemy.

Gotta love a fight that's either purely for the principle of clearing it since 50 is the level cap, or one that'll probably tear you apart if you try it at less than 50.

I just had a really awesome level in ghost master. it was the boat level. it was my first play of this playthrough. I got all the ghosts, and had to figure it out again because I can hardly remember stuff, and scared everybody off before don. awesome.

pimpmonkey2382.313: Not much of a WOD fan, but I would really like to try the last unicorn version of the star trek RPG's.

I'm more of an old school TSR D&D and AD&D guy.
avatar
j0ekerr: Was never a TSR guy myself, and I know absolutely nothing about its system or its background setting, so I wouldn't feel comfortable with DM'ing an AD&D game.

Maybe you'd like to try?

LeoLR: Hmmm... I'm not really familiar with anything related to World of Darkness.
Back in high school I played AD&D, GURPS and a bit of Mechwarrior/Battletech.
avatar
j0ekerr: I have a penchant for the old world of darkness, mostly due to nostalgia, but it doesn't have to be one of those. We can agree on a game we're all comfortable with.

Hell it can even be this one.

I think I'll be ditching Firefox too, and switching to Opera, just because.
I'm not dismissing WoD entirely and I'm open to learn a new system. I only had more contact with AD&D and GURPS in the past.

I would like to try gurps and especially that one alternate history setting.

i'm not crazy! i'm just psychologically resistant to reality!
Gooooood morniiing people!

There's something fascinating in seeing dice rolled in a game...
Bought the Talisman bundle thing from Humble.
Tested that and loving the dices rolling :)
Three match-3 games down, two of which add up to roughly 85 hours in total. Two more to go.

I'm really starting to hate match-3 now. Wasn't a huge fan before, and this experience has been eroding not only what enjoyment I do have, but what enjoyment I'm capable of having.

This isn't just killing a game, it's the process of killing off an entire genre, burning any tiny sliver of my brain that might derive pleasure from such things to ash, then packing the fresh scar tissue that remains with salt and barbed wire so nothing ever takes root there again.

And to think, some silly people think games are all about having fun.

Good morning. =)

Sounds like fun. Haven't really played that one, but I do have my eye on Warhammer Quest as a maybe.

I find digital dice rolling intriguing since in reality with enough practice basic cube dices are easy to manipulate. Huge complex ones of shapes I cannot name... well, that's a different story. But if you constantly have the highest rolls, I think you deserve the title of champion of the dice.
Lame song warning :-)
Steal My Sunshine is stuck in my head this morning... Lovely n__n

Good morning, GOG. *tips helmet*

Doing alright here. Just relaxing and having a big cup of my favourite drink (water :-p).

How about you?
Good morning, ladies, gentlemen, and goblins!

I hope you are all having a lovely start to the week?

*big hugs and half-arsed waves*

superstande: Hm... Yeah I studied bits of it in school at some point. A bit tough poetic language back then. Might be fun to read though as an adult :)
Hopefully it has been translated well... If you are into epic poetic tales, might be interesting :)

Whoops, I was late again with my reply, sorry.
You never have to be sorry for replying late, or even at all. We all have things to do outside the thread that can take up out time, so no need to be sorry.

I will have a think about the book. It is not a must have for me, but I do enjoy some of the classics from other cultures. I did not consider the translation, so I will have to be extra careful to get a good one. Or I could just read it in Finnish. I wouldn't understand a word of it, but at least I can pretend to be clever with reading a poetic tale in another language. :-)

Good morning, Mr Agent!

Do you have a number like James Pond, or do American agents have animal names that make them sound tough, like Tiger, Shark, etc.? :-)

*big silly hug*

(And extra peanut butter if you know what James Pond is/was.)
