Stilton: It sounds like a marathon, but one I'd like to do. Seeing Shakespeare in traditional surroundings really appeals. I think the physical discomfort would make it better in a way...maybe....
Maybe ... until you start to black out and everything becomes a bit incoherent. :P But if you have no trouble standing for three hours definitely go for it, it's a unique experience.

ElTerprise: Well similar to Terraria again i guess ;)

Hopefully. Thanks *big return hug* :)
Interesting. Think i might take a look at it then :)
There's a trailer for the one I just saw - it's in Dutch of course, but it might give you an impression of the play. Of course, as it's Dutch theatre, it's kind of controversial ... I think some people left in the break because one of the actors was plucking an actual bird on stage. And we had some nudity. :P

FearfulSymmetry: Hi all, how are you doing?

I just saw a really excellent production of Richard III, so I'm happy about that.
The first time I went to see Richard III, I was emailed this beforehand.

"You son of a bitch" I replied, "now I'm going to lose it laughing like an idiot in the first 30 seconds of the play..."

Bwahahaha. xD That's excellent.

Well there were some funny bits in this play as well. There are lots of characters in the play and it can be difficult keeping track of them all, and as such Richard forgot about a few people a couple of times too, and had to be reminded of who they were by his loyal servants ... They added to the confusion by giving lots of people double roles, making Richard do a double-take whenever they came on. :P

"Hey Clarence! Wait, what?"
"No my lord, I'm Catesby."
"Cates-what?"

Stilton: It'll be DRM free for me - it looks great.
It really does...thinking of buying that directly from the developer....

Well it looks interesting - not that i understand much though....
The modern German theatre tends to be the same....although i'm not sure if the plucking of the bird would've been possible here....
Nudity on the other isn't a huge issue in German theatre...from i know...haven't seen much in Theatre lately....:P

A lot of the time it's fun but sometimes I wish we could be a bit more traditional here. Sure, I loved "Queen" Lear, CEO of a business empire, but even so traditional versions can be a lot of fun as well ... But Dutch actors and directors don't believe in that apparently. :P
Oh great. Apparently I can't save at all near the vault in Shadowrun: Dragonfall. My quicksave there is corrupted and so is my manual save.

So I guess I get to restart from earlier in the level, soldier through the dialogue with a new character AGAIN, sit through another loading screen, fight through another battle kinda close-ish to the vault and that's apparently the last I can save in the level. "Fun" way to start the "real" opening of the game.

Weird. I don't remember any of that happening to me but then it's been a while since I played Dragonfall.

LOL made more difficult for poor Richard by the fact that Clarence is George too ;)

And if I remember correctly this one jumps around a lot between name and title, there are like three Edwards (though lucky for Richard a few aren't long for the world ;) ) AND doubling up on roles - I can see where Richard might have had his head spinning once or twice ;)

Yes. Had that back at school when we watched Mary Stuart from Friedrich Schiller with the German class....that one was a modern adapation as well and and the play definitely would've profited from a more traditional production....
(Not that i really like Schiller anyway...)

Ooooh that sucks - any idea what caused it? I want to make sure I avoid anything like that when I finally fire this one up...

Yep. They actually left out Clarence's first name in an attempt to keep things sort of understandable for the uninitiated audience. :P The start of the play had Richard proclaiming: "Never mind who's who, just pay attention to me!" And yep, all the Edwards are confusing as well. I still have some trouble keeping track of who's related to who.

Oh hell yes. I read some Schiller as part of literary theory and it was terrible. I hate literary theory anyway but this was particularly awful. :P And yep, when I saw some of those Shakespeare (and contemporaries) plays in Stratford in traditional style I was really amazed by them, just because it isn't done here.

Well, I think I'll go to bed as I'm kind of tired. Have a nice rest of the day, everyone! :)

Kinda weird but the quicksave was fine at first but it went kaput after a few reloads, and even overwriting it doesn't seem to work. My manual save was fine too until I saved in that same area, it corrupted immediately when I saved there.

Maybe make some manual back ups of the saves when you go through it again? Not an ideal situation, but it might help ...

Saving in one particular area in one part of a level seems to be the cause of it.

As spoiler-less advice as I can give you, you'll go to a club, blah blah blah, meet a new character and head to a vault on the same floor. Saving in front of or near the vault door seems to have a 100% success rate of corrupting (at least my) saves. You can actually visit the vault doors earlier before you meet the new character and can save near there without any issue, so I'm guessing it's caused by something in the later part of the level, maybe an incorrect trigger?

Yeah, I had a manual save up around the pillars where you turn to head to the vault, it was a-okay. I guess I'll have to beat the goons and head back up there and save and hope I can beat the robots on the first go round, otherwise this is gonna get tedious...

Yes we had some of his theoretical essays in German class in school (my teacher was a fan of Schiller). But to be fair i guess it's really difficult to properly translate Schiller into other languages...from what i remember from his work.

Wish you a good night and sleep well *big good night hug* :)
