superstande: good evening & good morning!
beat a long dungeon in Albion... tired & happy.
Old school gaming... no teleports for supply runs... have to go through all the floors back to outside for torches and food etc. and then back the same way to where you were :)
The more you mention that game, the more I'm reminded that I need to clear some things out so I can focus on it.
I still play on my PC but it's more Starcraft,HoS and MMOs like WoW,GW2 and EQ.
But I still occasionally fire up my GOGs like Battlefront 2 and Dark Forces.

Congrats! Albion is really a nice game, and pretty unique regarding the setting. A shame that of the Amber "trilogy" the second part (Ambermoon) is Amiga-exclusive and the third was never made... They're by the same people, under the former label of Thalion, which unfortunately went under with the decline of the Amiga platform.

Hi! :)
Ah thanks... hmm... Wow! I was actually thinking there were similarities to Ambermoon... Didn't know it was by the same people.. Okay now it makes sense :)

:) Okay, but you have been warned! :p
I'm sure it's no problem for you, though...

Winter Assault's windowed mode is just as much a broken pile of shit as the blighted Soulstorm's windowed mode. Hooray.

I don't mind suffering for a good game. The main problem would be if I got started, then got distracted and had to begin again. That would get old fast.

If you consider playing Albion, make sure to take notes. It's one of these games where it can really be PITA forgetting where stuff is and what certain things mean.

Thank you for the heads-up. Will be sure to keep a notepad nearby when I start playing it.
Good evening folks :)
Things are hotting up for the lunar eclipse in a couple of hours, at least in my household. Binoculars are at the ready and so will the moon be reddy as the earth's atmosphere changes the sunlight passing through it and casts a red shadow. At least I think that's what's going to happen. It kicks off at about 1:10 here and peaks from 3:11 to 4.24 (all UK times). It hasn't happened for thirty years and there have only been five since 1900, so it'll be worth a look. The next one's in 2033.

Hope all earth-bound GOGers are having/have had a good day. My house selling/buying woes might at last be over - we're thinking of staying put, if only to relieve the stress of looking for something which feels as well hidden as the holy grail.

I'll see if I can grab a pic or two of the night's event and bore you with them tomorrow ;-)

Sleep well!

Not sure how much we'll see of it, we have about 80% cloud cover at the moment.
I'll be out there and ready though.
Waiting here for the eclipse as well.
There is not a single cloud in the sky this night around here.
Too bad I don't have any kind of equipment good enough to register the event.
Good luck to all waiting for the eclipse! Hopefully the weather will cooperate for you.
Neat so a few in here are either hanging around outside or poking their heads out now and again! I'm going to fire up a bit of Shadow Warrior, but I've been spending the last hour or so wandering the deck! It really is beautiful and moving along pretty quickly! For me the red glow later isn't nearly as much fun as watching the penumbra sliding over the Moon little by little!

Does anyone else suddenly want to play Kerbals? ;)

Also, I LOST IT again playing Shadow Warrior last night - my character remarks that the sword he is looking for / wielding is "The hotness" - to which his demon companion replies "I was into the sword before it was cool." LOST IT. His voice just adds to the whole hilarity of the situation.

My character then says "You should move to Portland and start a band." Such a great game. ;)
