Yes that works for me :)

AgentBirdnest: *extra big return hug*
I always liked the totally honest and apologetic add-me posts. "This is a completely useless post so my friend can find me. Sorry for the disruption" :-)

Doing pretty well here . A simple, quiet, and relaxing evening. Watching a 254-minute movie, which should help me fall asleep ;-)
How about yourself?
Yes those were okay but i hated those who created new threads for that or something like that....
Glad to hear that. 254 Minutes? What movie is that?

Ah yes, I suppose those would get annoying.
The movie is "Gettysburg", which is about (you guessed it) Gettysburg :-) ... The Battle of Gettysburg to be precise. It's been a favourite of mine since I was a kid.

Never heard of that movie before...but that might not be too surprising because I'm not that into the American Civil War to be honest. But that's a hell of a move nonetheless with that length...and re-watching favourite movies is always nice :)

BTW: I saw you mentioning Evoland earlier. And you said you loved it. Mind telling me why that is because always when i look at the game screens it only looks like a gimmicky game for the sake of having the different graphic styles :)

I doubt it would be enjoyed by many people unless they are enthusiasts on the subject. It can be a bit boring even for me at times :-p

You're right, it is gimmicky. The gimmick being that it starts out looking and playing like a game from 30 years ago, and you have to unlock upgrades to slowly turn the game into a more modern looking game. It reminded me a lot of DLC Quest, but on a much larger scale. There is a lot of humor that references the history of video games.
For me, it was less of an excellent game, and more of just an enjoyable "experience".

I see :)

But is there any logic or justification for these changes or unlocks or is it only for the sake of unlocking new stuff...because in case it actually has a justification i'd actually might look at it :)
So i assume that your getting Evoland 2 to as well.
Good night fellow threaddittes. How are you doing this fine day?

I just had tacos for dinner.

They were delicious.

Also the drunkard family with the obnoxious babies is once again doing botellón under my window. (in fact I just heard them popping another 1 litre beer). Unfazed despite the fact that one of their lot got arrested this morning, apparently for pushing.

No, not the kind you do in a crowded bus, I meant the other kind.

BillyMaysFan59: add me BILLY

Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk!
Go away Billy, and leave that scythe alone mon!

Addendum: Enough is enough, I've had it with these motherfucking cooking shows on all the motherfucking channels!

I don't remember exactly how things worked... but I do recall there were some spots where you had to find a technology or graphics upgrade (found in chests) to get past areas, like having to unlock free movement to get past a boulder that you couldn't pass before. So, not all upgrades were just for the sake of looking pretty, some had some actual purpose behind it.
Unlocking stuff ends pretty quickly though. After about an hour, there is not much to unlock, and it can feel like a bit of a grind.

Good evening - i'm doing good here. What about you - aside from the pestering drunkards

Agreed. They're really annoying.

Hm...that doesn't sound too bad...might grab that at a sale :)

That's what I did. I believe I got it for 80% off during the Fall or Winter sale. Not a bad impulse buy for me :-)

I bought DLC Quest off the humble store for about 60 cents.

That's what it's worth.

Evoland doesn't much appeal to me. It's basically a trip down memory lane tinged with nostalgia-coloured goggles. But you said 30 years old. Does that include Atari?

When it's that cheap it's an easy grab i guess :)

I just killed a mosquito with a death clap.

Then I went straight for the bathroom to wash the red goo off my hands.

And finally the drunkards are gone now. And early too.

Sounds about right for DLC Quest. I enjoyed it, but still wouldn't pay more than a dollar for it.

Yeah, that sums it up about Evoland. I don't really know much about Atari. It starts out in black and white, looking like an old Gameboy screen. Mostly a parody of the Zelda and Final Fantasy games.

Nice. Did something similar today :)
That's good news i guess (not that GOG kind of course)

agylardi: Hi everyone. With the economy is not really in good favor, all I could do is waiting for sale to buy games. Especially when the discount make the price really cheap.

Also, it is almost the end of August... so it is near GOG autumn sale right ?
avatar
Mercset: Good night. Hello all!

agylardi: Lebih baik pakai "Good Evening" jika ingin menyapa. "Good Night" biasanya digunakan ketika akan berpisah.
Okay. I'll try to not repeat it again.

Now... Good morning all!
