SalarShushan: I only play games that long or that often when I really love them - or both, like Civ I, Chronotrigger etc. Props for your patience, CC
I am impressed
Thank you. =)

I should've finished it when I tried to do a full run years ago. Then I wouldn't be doing it now. But I got so sick and tired of it that I quit.

Priceless. Thank goodness I've learned to swallow and set my coffee down before reading your posts! ;)
I don't need the pizza burning. Coming from Mick, that might just work! :O

moonshineshadow: - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
- Maniac Mansion
- Zak McKracken
- Loom
- Full Throttle

At least that are the ones I remember spontanously :D
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: The Last Crusade needs to be here, it is the second best Indy next to Fate.
The Dig really needs to be in this list too. ;)
Maniac Mansion, of course !
How could I forget The Dig...
And as for the Last Crusade, wasn't it released before Fate of Atlantis... ?

Yes, Last Crusade was before Fate, but it is the 'second best' meaning not quite as good as Fate.

I'll take that as a good thing.

Cheers Endre for that first one, this silly thing really did the trick - like and [url=https://www.youtube.com/v/V9v122WMAuk?version=3&start=78&end=95&autoplay=0&hl=en_US&rel=0]this.

And here's your favourite, with a little extra at the end.
So I'm back again to bug you with tech questions! No more cable talk, I promise ;)

I downloaded the Win 7 SDK (looking for and hoping I found a C++ compiler somewhere in there?). It's an ISO and I'm out of DVDs! Is MagicISO legit, safe and able to mount an ISO to a virtual disc? I'm super paranoid what I download and from where, especially with this as I feel like I'm deep in pirate territory dealing with ISOs - and to me that screams malware and virii on every site I might go to.

As an aside - the Win 7 SDK on the Microsoft downloads section DOES include a C++ compiler yes?

Daemon Tools comes to mind.
It's been forever since I used it, so they might have some stupid "click this if you want your browser default changed to Chrome" or "click this if you want McAfee's crap antivirus on your computer", but they should be easily avoidable unless you click without looking at anything.
Aside from that, I've never heard of them having any kind of viral crap included. It's freeware as well, so you won't have to go digging through sketchy places to find it.

You know what's horrifying about that video you sent?

Complete, embarrassment-level honesty time - my first thought seeing that was, "Why do I need subtitles, I already know all the words to that song by heart." -shakes head-

Hmmm. Are you sure you've got the right thing?
I'm sure the Windows 7 SDK is one of the many things I downloaded in the last few weeks while messing around with engines and I don't remember it coming as an ISO. It was an exe or zip file I think.
Not sure whether it comes with a compiler or not, I doubt it comes with an IDE (like Visual Studio) but I don't know if it comes with a compiler (I can't say I really know the difference as I've always compiled through an IDE)

Been using Virtual Clone Drive myself for a long time now without issue.
No idea on the compiler.

This is good news maybe there's an option - I'm going to go back and check as I'd rather just download the file again in a more usable format.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=3138

That's the first page that comes up when I google it and it says the download is an exe.
Filename looks vaguely familiar so I think its the one I got. On my phone so can't check.
It does mention having a compiler but it depends on your take on a compiler, I always mean IDE when I think compiler and I know it doesn't include one of those. But Visual Express is a free download from Microsoft (or you can get Eclipse which I greatly prefer)

That's the one I grabbed as well - I looked under "Install Options" and grabbed the ISO instead of opting for the web install - I think I'll try the web install rather than random link clicking ISO mounting sites LOL ;)

Thanks!

Endre made a good suggestion. Alternatively, WinCDEmu is also good and easy to use.
