GreenDamsel: I was really appalled by HoI at some point, when I had to manage my political party and I realized I played as Hitler, Himmler and all those scoundrels. And that's the only thing I detest from the bottom of my heart. So I couldn't play on. I have precisely 106 minutes played in HoI3. I try to get some motivation to continue playing, but ... meh.
Well it's a WW2 game primarily, of course you would play as hitler. (unfortunately). Though on my game I replaced himmler, goering, etc with wehrmacht officers.

Well maybe I'll give it a try. Just to replace the whole staff with competent people.

I never played Germany in HOI as of yet but from i know you can appoint Thomas Mann as foreign minister.

CarrionCrow: Definitely a title of interest for me. First heard about it years ago, wanted to play it, but couldn't ever get it to work properly.
I'm a bit concerned that the graphics aren't good enough to really see what your doing. Otherwise though it looks like a great game.

I found Victoria 2 to be easier than HoI3. Mostly due to the Interface being much cleaner imho. More features and stuff, but a lot better presented.

I notice the Reply flag takes a lot longer to go away lately, sometimes you have to go back to the reply two or three times to get it to clear. Is that just for me or is it something that is affecting everybody?

The key is to not even bother replying. Don't look at the flag. Ignore people. Be happy. Be free.

Yes. They made Victoria II much more accessible compared to Victoria I which was really difficult to get into.
