l0rdtr3k: Beth for Fallout and Elder Scrolls.2K because of Civ and X-Com
avatar
ddickinson: I don't think there is much hope of them coming here. Bethesda seems to be very much Steam orientated, and if I remember correctly, they were the reason the Fallout games were removed from GOG.
But there's a market for them here.

l0rdtr3k: All the series must be here and I got them when they were given for free.
Still need some more get better squishy hugs.
Alright *a massive amount of big get better soon hugs* :)

ElTerprise: Well i'm not really used to pints (except when i was in Ireland and ordering Guinness :P) and i had two bottles of .5L of 'Pilsner Urquell' which makes it a litre. I did the math (via Google) and apparently it's about 1.8 pints...looks like i need more ;)
Yep, lots more. I am not really a big drinker, just wine these days. I know I never liked Guinness much, but I do enjoy a nice ale.

l0rdtr3k: We need Bethesda here. I need Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
Hate to break it to you, but the assholes are going in the exact opposite direction.
They're going to set up their own little digital fiefdom, like EA and Ubisoft.
You'll have to be willing to bend over that much further just to get their games, looks like.

Red ale's the best.

moonshineshadow: Good that you had such a nice evening *big return hug*

ddickinson: Sorry I missed your reply.

Are you looking forward to your course ending and you getting back to your regular work?
Good question. Not sure of that myself ;-)

Clearly not a big enough one for Bethesda. Who knows, maybe they have some kind of exclusive contract with Steam, or maybe the owners just hate DRM-free and want the forced control over the game and the gamers that DRM allows them.

But they can't ignore a potential market.

Well never had the chance to taste Ale (as of yet) and i like Guiness - but wine is fine too. I really like red wine :).

It's not surprising. But it helps my wallet. Even if I were to decide for even a fraction of a second to give those fuckers another chance after the disappointment of Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim, their bullshit client will be more than enough to remind me to not buy it.

Of course they can. GOG is just not interesting enough for them. And it is not like they are the only ones, which is quite apparent if one sees how many new big games are released here.

At least that helps to break the Steam monopoly, but it is bad news in general. Especially as many of these publisher exclusive platforms have worse DRM than Steam. I imagine that they (big publishers) will all be doing it soon.

Good evening, Crow! How are you, I hope you have had a nice day? DId you get all the downloading done?

moonshineshadow: Good question. Not sure of that myself ;-)
I bet it's not nice coming back from a lovely holiday to a boring course. Let's hope that things will pick up and be a little more interesting for you at work. That star stealing machine will not build itself. :-)

Good day, BMF! Sorry for missing your post.

Glad to hear your new laptop is on the way. What games will you be playing first?

*good night hugs and waves* Need to get some sleep.
Took a chance on three more games to completely drain my Trading Card money before the Steam sale ended, Ace Revolution, Defy Gravity and Despair.

Ace Revolution is a decent enough shoot 'em up bullet hell type game, it gets difficult quickly but so does nearly every game in that genre. I appreciate that it doesn't feature the "you're an anime human girl/cat hybrid vampire fighting huge machines and other human girl/cat hybrids" style of that seems to dominate the genre.

Defy Gravity I had purchased before for a giveaway so I decided to buy it again because why not, it should be fun for however long I stick with it.

Despair looks...not good but it was nine cents so I should be able to easily earn that back on the Trading Cards, and I'm always willing to try out potentially terrible games if I can make my money back. Who knows, maybe it actually is okay.
