LaPtiteBete: Thanks for the flowers :-D I love flowers. What do they look like ?
Errr... I'll think about it. Is your brother strong ? I wouldn't want to be punched in the face by a built like a tank angry brother.
um... Yellow, white, and pink... You know... normal-ish flowers :-p [/bad with plants]
Oh no, he is not strong. He is quite weak at the moment (un)fortunately :-| You could kick him square anywhere, and he would probably not do anything.

j0ekerr: [Taylor Swift]
Can't stand her music, but I think she is a good comedian. Honestly, I'm not joking or being sarcastic. As I understand, she actually started with sketch comedy with dreams of being on Saturday Night Live when she was discovered by a music producer... She was one SNL's best hosts ever, in my opinion.

LaPtiteBete: Also, who is Taylor Swift ?
avatar
j0ekerr: Treasure your ignorance.

All you need to know is that she's another talentless prefabricated teen pop "singer"

Almost (but not as bad) a female Justin Bieber.
Heh! I've heard that they (her handlers / owners) place a bunch of cosmetic kiosks at her concerts too... for her adoring fans to shop the pop, like a pop-star.

I'd say she has more talent than Justin Bieber, as she can play guitar and sing at the same time. ;)

Good afternoon, everyone!

Is anyone else having problems with the chat? Earlier I kept getting a 500 error message, just now it seemed to work again, but then it just started getting stuck on the loading part, so I am just left with a spinning circle and no ability to read/write messages.

Morphopolis! Thank you Joekerr!
I have actually been looking for this game. Lost the name and the details, when I didn't have any money back when it came out... 0,19 euro cents? Holy Macaroni! And we need this game on gog too! :)

Don't know and frankly don't care. My hate towards all corporate-produced music and those who willingly embrace that travesty is something I cherish and even nurture.

I don't care if behind closed doors she's actually Mozart incarnate, the moment she debased herself to sing those aberration she earned my eternal spite.

Contrast this with Miley Cyrus whom, although I have the utmost contempt for, I don't really hate and even somewhat pity. She was brought up and groomed to be exactly what she's become and I don't think she ever had an option to do otherwise. You could say that she didn't know better.

She's still bloody rich, so I don't really pity her.

ZenWan: Hi @Ixamyakxim - how is your dog? Hope he's all better now.

Very strange thread, he must have been really bored. Wonder how long that will stay up?
I thought it was pretty odd myself ;) And glad I went back and reread replies from over the night - he's fine!

It was amazing, he didn't eat or leave the couch for two days. The day after the vets he was much, much better and the day after that was completely back to his old self. So between the antiinflammatory and being treated for a tick disease, something had him back on four legs in no time. And the vet had no concerns at the followup. I wish I took pictures of him with his pink leg wrap, but at the time I was still too worried / feeling bad for the guy. And then it was off. Now the trick is just keeping him on reduced activity ;)
Hmm, looking at the disc, Battlestations Midway is distributed by Cosmi Valusoft (www.valusoft.com). There is no activations code for the game, so it is probably DRM-Free. :) I'll try installing it later today. ;)

Looking at their website, I see they have Age of Mythology and the expansion on offer too, for 19.99. So they have distribution rights for now... (nudge, poke Team GoG).

Heh! Well, I'm not a fan of corporate pop music either... let me see, I've even written a song about it.. here is the lyrics...

(edit.. forgot to add title of song... ) :P

Pop Star Culture Conspiracy

Speakers speaking, listeners seeking,
faces hide what minds are thinking.
Propaganda spun belief in precision
controlling your life by your decision,
until not a trace of your will remains,
an indentured you as their Market Gains.

In a profanity of vanity,
for sale is your sanity.
Shopping fantasy subside the rage,
while you’re a star on the center stage.

- They cannot change the truth by vanity,
with sanctified subliminal imagery.
- They cannot change the past by mere decree,
with their Pop Star Idol conspiracy.

Listeners steeping, religion reaping,
inside them, their secrets keeping.
By blind obsession to justify crimes,
the vulnerable lose their programmed minds.
Upon forsaken souls for profit highs,
false aristocracy is on the rise.

Idle minds sleeping, dismissing things unthinkable,
deep within lurking, secret violations, unspeakable.
Insinuating conformity experts blame it on our psychoses,
medicating responsibility to silence victims of social disease.

Inventing,
Deceiving,
Forgiveness,
for pains sake

and suddenly we wake.

I am naked, hiding naked, myself naked, hiding myself..
I am naked, hiding naked, myself naked, hiding myself from me.

- They cannot change the truth of indignity,
with campaign subliminal imagery.
- They cannot control the future, you see,
with their Pop Star Culture conspiracy.

Drifters dreaming, listeners speaking,
never reveal their silent weeping.
Unable to question the insanity,
lost is the love for humanity.
An oppressive conquest of prosperity
redeemed in virtue by abject poverty.
Who pays for what’s been done them,
who reaps the profits in the end?

My partner is doing good, and my weekend was okay, a little bad on Sunday, but okay.

How are you? Did you have a nice weekend?

I wonder what is causing this problem? The scary thing is that now the sale is over GOG can concentrate on breaking things again, at least the sale partly kept them at bay. :-)

*big afternoon hug*

How is work going?

Edit: My chat is working occasionally. But usually it just sticks on the loading animation.

Good morning! *return hug*

I hope so, so much seems to be going wrong on the site these days.

How are you? (Sorry if you have already said, I have not read back through the thread.)
