adaliabooks: Yeah, if you commute regularly then a 3DS is great. Prices aren't quite so bad as home console games either.
avatar
ElTerprise: Yes. That sounds really good but i think that has to wait after spent a lot of money in the summer sale :)
Understandable :)

If you do get one let me know and I'll give you some recommendations if you want.

moonshineshadow: Good console not only for mutliplayer. Of course it depends what you are interested in. But the Mario games are just fun as well as Donkey Kong. And of course Zelda! And with their e-shop you can also get some of the old titles.
Yes. Well i actually never play any of the Nintendo franchises except for Mario Kart with friends on a SNES when i was in primary school. But some of them are interesting. I need to think about it. Thank you :).

The second you try to play Disciples 3 Ressurrection and realise, they've used Turkish folk songs for the undead hordes.... -.-

You should. How could you not have played Zelda or Mario games ;-)
(Me and my siblings had a SNES and ever since then, I just love these games)

My mother has a regular Wii and I've played some Mario Kart on it, which was pretty fun. However, the console is now in my sister's room and she never feels like playing, so I haven't played in a long while. :P

Pfff... what a waste ;-)
We have a familiy WiiU, where we play multiplayer games when we all get together. And the rest of the time it goes around in the family. At the moment I have it *big happy grin*

Yep, it kind of sucks. My mother used to have it in the living room, and back then I sometimes invited some friends over to play, but she got annoyed with it or something. :P

That sounds fun! It seems nice to play with family. We got ours with that idea too but my sister and I were the only ones who ended up playing. What games do you play on it?

For real multiplayer we have Mario Kart, WiiU Party and the Rayman Raving Rabbits game. And this year Mario Party U should be out, so my mum will probably buy it for Christmas :D
But the Mario games as well as Rayman and Donkey Kong are also for more than one player, so these get played a lot as well :-)

Mario Party always seemed like a lot of fun to me, but I've never really played it myself. Sounds like you'll have a good time with it. :)

We had a Donkey Kong as well, so I've played some of that, and it's indeed pretty fun! Rayman seems like a good kind of game for the Wii as well.
Good evenoon, everyone! *tips my helmet to everyone, and hugs anyone who wants one*

Here I am again today, making another long and emotional post :-p ... but this one is much different. Much more personal to me, and I just wanted to express my appreciation...

I woke up feeling pretty down today. My head was aching quite badly, and I was having some pretty bad nausea (both are common problems for me. It's nothing new, and is not serious.) As usual, I came to the thread, and when I said that I was only "okay" today, our amazing, lovely, kind and caring Owl immediately wanted to help me... Obviously. That's what she does :-)
She offered to let me PM her (err... "chat") anytime and help take my mind off things. I finally decided to take the offer for once. I'm really overwhelmed at the result... Our wonderful little Owl talked to me all day, very effectively cheering me up, keeping my spirits high, and taking my mind off things. I ended up feeling much better, and being able to ignore my physical problems all day thanks to her :-)
I honestly don't have enough words to express how grateful I am... I wish there were better words... I'm afraid that the best I can come up with is....... Thank you, LaPtiteBete, from the bottom of my heart. You helped me so much today. You are my Guardian Owl :'-) **Biggest, most epic, happy, and crushing thank you hug of all time...**

If everyone could do me a quick favor? ... Please +1 every one of her posts until your fingers bleed, or the internet explodes, or the sun dies... Whichever comes first. Give her plenty of extra awesome hugs too, if you can :-)

We go the SNES for Christmas. That was really cool. Of course we were not allowed to play how much we wanted (my mum was really strict with that) but we had so much fun with it over the years. And also fun when my mum played for example Mario with us, since she died a lot and for us kids it was so great to be better than her. But I have to say, that seeing her play now, I suspect she sometimes just died because we kids found it so funny ;-)

Aww, that sounds so awesome! Great family bonding time. :) I'm always trying to get my parents to play games with me but they never want to, unfortunately. Still, my dad likes movies just like me and both of them enjoy reading, so we've got some things to share.
