Good morning!

l0rdtr3k: *hugs D* Hello D. There's a flame war incoming here.
Yeah, I saw it. It is in the Scammers thread as well. This kind of thing happens all the time during big sales. People try to take advantage of other people's generosity and just try to get freebies.

l0rdtr3k: Hello and good morning people!

ddickinson: Good morning, little blob! *morning hug*

How are you today?

avatar
akhliber: Been up just long enough to play with Sarge and the lady a bit this morning, about to put on some coffee. Just wanted to say good morning! I hope you're all doing well today!
A little morning music to get my day started right:

It must be quite early where you are? I hope you are doing well? Anything nice planned for the day?
Wanting to not go to work and just stay here playing my games.

Really hope people don't see me as a scammer because I post on the gifting thread.

ddickinson: The animals are doing good, all fit and healthy. We keep quiet a range, we handle livestock and crops, which can be quite a handful. We have things like cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and lots of wild animals that treat the place like home. :-)

So why do you not have your wishlist up? I was going to gift you a little something to celebrate your final exam.
I'm glad to hear it, but I can imagine that all those animal are indeed a big handfull to keep fit.

Well, I wouldn't know how to make a public wishlist, and besides, you're under no obligations whatsoever to buy me things; it's very friendly of course, and I would be happy to get gifts from the people arround here, but it would make me feel as if I would constantly need to repay you all (which I can't on my budget), and I have (always had in real life too) this inexplicable feeling that tells me I'd rather be good friends through talking and conversating than gift-giving as a base or addition to friendly feelings, even though the two go together quite well. It's a silly feeling, and it sounds stupid, but I'd rather not get to many gifts ;)

Good morning to you as well! It's 5:30 here. My wife leaves for work around 6-6:30, so I get up with her in the mornings, get her some breakfast, and have a little team-cuddle-and-play session with Sarge before she heads off for the day. I never really thought of myself as a "morning person," but I think that's just because, when I was working, I'd usually get off work between 1 and 3am, and wouldn't usually do my daily sleeping until about 6am-9am. Now that I've been on disability for a good handful of years, I've fallen more into a routine of getting my core nap a little earlier (usually around 2am-5am now.) I didn't expect I'd ever find myself saying this, but I really enjoy being up before the sun. :)
For today, all I have planned is to get in some extra training with Sarge, to try and catch up on house cleaning, and to try one of the new games I've picked up during the sale (no idea which, just excited to try something new, even though I'm in the middle of a bunch of good games.) :)
How about you, anything exciting planned?

Are you at work for long today?

And I wouldn't worry, the gifting thread is for asking for and gifting games. It's not like you go around to random threads and beg for games and pretend to be nice just to get free things, or trade games you are gifted and things like that.

PalioDeMonte: Dag!

I'm doing well, thank you. What kind of entertainment park? Something known?

Had to think of you when I attended a panel at the dutch embassy yesterday. Very friendly people - not arrogant at all, as one might usually think about diplomats :)

Oh, and good morning to DD!
avatar
ddickinson: Good morning!

How's the day treating you so far?
Hi DD, my day is fine. I hope you're also feeling well!

FearfulSymmetry: De Efteling, it's a Dutch entertainment park. It's been around for quite a while, and it's a mix between newer things like rollercoasters and good old-fashioned portrayals of famous fairytales. My favorite is the Fata Morgana, where you go on a boat ride through an Arabian city populated by animatronics. It's old, but still fun.
Oh, I remember them - they did TV and radio advertising here in Germany when I was a kid and it looked awesome. But I actually never managed to get there.

Haha, I'm glad the Dutch made a good impression on you! Was the panel interesting?
Yes, but I was mostly there to sell some books. Was okayish on that behalf...

Good morning everyone ;-)

Just done a quick read through and everything seems to be well in GOGLand, aside from people flaming each other and Fearful's ongoing ear problem. Good luck with that, F ;-)

And the flamers...well, who cares.

It's a lot easier at the moment, as for the last year we have not kept animals for slaughter (except for the pigs, we are looking after them to help a neighbouring farmer). After this harvest we will look at how viable it all is, but chances are we will go back to slaughtering, which will mean a few more animals to take care of.

I understand your reluctance for getting gifts, I am the same. But I am under no obligation to gift you, I just wanted to. Tell you what, once you have finish your exam, and we are both online, I want you to pick a game from the promo on the front page as a little gift from me. Let me know the game and I will get you the code. A little congratulations gift from me for completing your last exam. No reason to feel like you have to repay it, it's a gift. I don't give to receive, I gift to people whose company I enjoy and because I like to gift and share things.
Gotta go jog now. See you guys later.

I'm having a pretty great morning so far. Got a good bit of restful sleep, the pup is in great spirits (and adorably sleepy) this morning, and it's nice and cool in the house, which is making a lazy moment under a blanket in my computer chair that much sweeter. The fact that I'll have coffee ready soon will make things even better. :)

Lovely to hear, comfort you can find in the "simple" things of life are often the most enjoyable ones ;)

how do you like your coffee (I have a special method myself)?

That's very nice of you. I wish I could have a little cuddle time with my partner in the morning. But I am up at about 4-5 am, and as much as I would love to just give her a big cuddle, I wouldn't dream of waking her.

Being up for the sunrise is indeed nice, one of my favourite times of the day (along with sunset). I hope you have a very nice and relaxing day, hopefully with some fun with Sarge as well. :-)

I am at work for most of the day, then I will just spend a lovely evening with my partner.

Ah coffee! :D I used to be an addict but now it's black tea and energy drinks :D
