EndreWhiteMane: Gotta show some class once in a while.
Plus I love the term 'pissed as a fart'. :-)
avatar
ddickinson: There are many variations of that saying, the actual saying is "pissed as a newt", referencing the way a newt staggers about. Just as long as I can get you to say "couldn't care less" and "hold the fort", I will be happy. :-)
We don't have many newts here, no one would understand that.
Plenty of the other though. :-)

ElTerprise: Good evening *big hug*
Doing good here - what about you?
avatar
ddickinson: I am going very good, thank you.

See anything in the sale today that catches your eye?

*return hug*

Stilton: Hi Sis ;-)

The day's been good. My monster downloading is done and I can relax without anything niggling away in the back of my mind. And it feels really nice ;-) Your evening in the garden sounds nice - nothing like relaxing in your own outdoor room when the weather's good.

ddickinson: Greeting, Mr Viking!

I see you finally bested the beast and downloaded all your games. No doubt there will be much merry making in the mead hall after this victory. :-)

I see you saw a kestrel, we get them quite often. They are lovely birds, and very good predators.

Stilton: You've never been a complainer, its one of your admirable qualities. I like to moan from time to time but I can't recall ever hearing you whinge about anything. I'd call you consistent, and that doesn't mean boring. You're always ready with compliments, support, help, hugs and hot chocolate. The kind of things friendship is made from. You can blush now, I'll look away ;-)
Heh... more than a blush, my eyes are genuinely watering :'-p
Don't have many words to respond to that... just have an *Extra big, happy hug* :-)

ElTerprise: Yes. I went on a small buying spree today ;)
Got all the remaining Paradox games and some more strategy games ;)
What about you? Anything interesting for you?
ELT, what go you think of the Paradox games? Have you played any of them? I've been looking at them and wondering if there is enough variation to make it worth going for the whole bundle?

I'm getting more interested, small squishy person. It sounds like you're a fan.

None really for me. I like the look of the Paradox games, but I know I will not like them (so no gifting), due to all the micro-managment type things you have to do.

Are you hoping for any games to show up in the next batch?

GhostwriterDoF: Well, being country folk, that's how we likes to hug, so you knows you is being hugged,
not like them city slicker's hugs, and fishy handshakes...

Besides which, you are wearing power armor, so big and squishy hugs are better suited to the greeting. :D
That makes sense. We country folk sure can give good hugs. :-)

*big super strong rib cracking Power Armour hug*

akhliber: Hello again, folks! I just beat XCOM: Enemy Within. What a fantastic game. It's a game I've been playing through slowly over quite a long period of time, but the news of XCOM 2 renewed my excitement about it. I hadn't realized how close I was to finishing the last time I played. Definitely one of my favorite games in quite some time.
I hope you are all doing well!
The XCOM 2 trailer tells us almost nothing about the upcoming game but I confess I feel rather hyped about it too. I can only imagine the possibilities as the trailer suggests a reverse role of XCOM. You are not the last defense of Earth. You are now the resistance, fighting in the shadows with few resources and using guerrilla tactics. Quite enticing indeed.

Wouldn't that be good, like a kind of interactive tinnitus... ;-)

So no newts, and no shortage of farts. Perhaps the abundant amount of farts is the reason there are no newts. :-)

How are you, did you open a Paypal account?

I dated a British woman for a bit many years ago. I remember the first time I had the nerve to ask "Okay, so why are you so pissed?" In the U.S. "to be pissed" means angry or upset. I also had to build up courage to ask what the hell "bung" meant. I just stared at people blankly when they asked me to "bung X Y." I'm usually pretty decent at context clues, but this one eluded me until I finally asked.

I STILL hate the term "taking the piss."

I played the successors of these games. There have different focuses. Europa Universalis focuses on controlling a nation and expanding by warfare while Victoria shifts the focus to the economy of the (but warfare still plays a role - i actually haven't played a lot Victoria 2) and Crusader Kings focuses on a dynasty (so it has a smaller scope compared to the other ones)...
Hearts of Iron is different due to it's WW2 focu s (played the least of HoE actually)...

I dated one too, for several years. Learned a number of 'innocent terms' that would get the crap knocked out of you where I live. :-)
