Ixamyakxim: He dies at the end? *spoiler alert* He comes back! ;) (Yes I know that's not how it actually ends - well, maybe the movie does I don't know. I mean the actual Bible).
I can't keep all the stories straight from that whole "Bible" thing... So many people, so many events... Plus I had to deal with "The Book of Mormon" in addition to the Bible growing up... and to make it worse, many (people? characters?) are in both books, but have different names. It gets quite confusing :-p

EndreWhiteMane: Anything amazing, cataclysmic, etc. happen while I was gone?

Ixamyakxim: GoG put up a free 10 minute Bundle called "FUz B3Th" that contained Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. Other than that, nothing good.

*LEGAL DISCLAIMER TO BETHESDA LAWYERS - THIS WAS A JOKE*

;0)
-laughs- They already did that, and it was for longer than ten minutes.

Here's the big question...

Do any of the characters have a laser sword?

*addition to my previous spoiler...* He then goes on vacation far, far away!

CarrionCrow: Ah, I know what you mean. The obnoxious standard method, always a pain.
The language barrier made it that much more enjoyable, I'm sure.

In my case, it was a roommate and myself wrestling it off of a truckbed, barely squeezing it between the railing, getting it lined up with the door since it was too large for the twist method you used, then finding that at a glance it still wasn't going to go in.

At this point, I was more than a tad frustrated (probably because my hand had already been smashed a bit), so I just hit one side of it really hard. That was when we figured out that the cushioning was adjustable if you slammed into it...
So your couch moving story is worse than mine! At least you managed to figure it out in the end. :P Mistreatment of inanimate objects is a solution sometimes. xD

EndreWhiteMane: Aloha all, survived another day at my grueling 4 hour job. :-)
Hope all are well, no way I can catch up at this point.

CarrionCrow: Good afternoon.

Depends...do you have a good furniture moving story? =)
Tried to move a queen sized mattress down a a narrow stairway by myself 'cause my helper was late.
Got trapped under it as it wedged itself tightly in place
Had to wait for my helper anyway. He thought it quite funny, I did NOT.
Does that count? :-)
Time for some pub action!

Hahaha... That certainly would have made it easier to pay attention :-D
There was a dude who could shoot lightning out of his hands, I think... That might have just been in the movie though (yes, there was actually a movie.)

Do flames and / or soundwaves count? Because if so, yes. ;)

Your story includes trying to talk with people who didn't speak the language.
That sounds like a bit of a handicap.
Isn't delightful when unexpected visitors arrive?. I need to flee. :-)

-not laughing...not at all...- Yes, I'd say that definitely counts.

Yep, it was. We gave the couch away for free to these people because they had just immigrated into our country and didn't have much in the way of furniture. That was also the reason communication was so hard. :P

I always love when I get this from people: "You didn't have to call, just come right over!" or "You don't need to knock, just walk right in!" I never understood this. I'm not exactly one for social graces, but I always thought calling and knocking were just common courtesy.

One of these days I think I'll just walk right into the home of a friend or family member unannounced, then proceed to use their toilet without shutting the door. Then drink some milk from the carton. Without first washing my hands.

I'm on a roll today! ;)

That was very kind of you. =)
