EBToriginal: I was in surgery for pretty much exactly eight hours, and I can feel all sorts of places inside me I usually don't, it's strange. Both of my friends who have done this before me had much slower recoveries. Multiple weeks stuck in bed off the bat, and swelling still at the one year mark, I'm thankful every moment that I'm not still stuck not moving at all.
avatar
CarrionCrow: That's interesting. I figure a person gets stuck in their shell, they end up feeling like they know the range of what tactile experience is going to be, but you're adjusting to a different range.

Yeah, sounds like your improved recovery rate is helping out quite a bit.
The major dizziness you mentioned previously would be bad enough, let alone being bedridden.
I've always been interested in sensations. It's how I ended up way at the far end of the kink spectrum too.

Understandable. There's only so much you can do with your shell, might as well see what you can get out of it.

In my more poetic moods I like to describe myself as a living canvas. Every mark and scar is a story of some sort. Just a shame that finding worthy artists is such a difficulty.

ZenWan: Good morning / afternoon / evening, everyone. Hope you are all well.

I feel the same - although I have to admit that lately I've had to try to block out some posts that imo just don't belong here. I know it's a 'free-for-all' but all the same there's stuff I just don't need to read about here of all places.

Pity one can't hide posts without downrepping them..

On a happier note, glad you've got a new mouse now, Crow, that should help your hand problems. I do find that wireless is easier than having cables to catch on things, but I guess it's what you're used to. You certainly had a productive day, hope that helps you to sleep well, when you do.

Now I'll have to go and search for it, so as to add my +1. Crow in full flow... I'll enjoy that. :-D

You wouldn't like to post a link, would you? It would save a lot of searching, as the general discussion forum has moved on a lot since these posts..
avatar
CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

I know what you mean. I tend to get very angry/upset/whatever about certain things, so I try to avoid bringing them up here.
Seriously mixed results at times on that, though.

I've been using wireless for a while, was thinking of going back to wired as a way to eliminate input lag (also known as me bashing the crap out of the left mouse button four to five times before the first click would register), but it seems that the old item was just damaged. This one works much better.

At your request, here you go.
Would suggest passing on reading it if potentially offensive language is a concern.
I do think that some people don't know when to stop, even here. Enough already, take it somewhere else.

Can't say I've ever found any of your posts offensive - 'bad' language doesn't bother me. You have a way with words, and you're very witty when you're mad, even when you're not. ;-)

Thanks for the link - good post in that thread, and yes, he had it coming. What with that thread, at least 2 others I think I ran across yesterday, plus the wishlist comments, one can say with absolute certainty that most Hateful fans are pathetic and rather hateful themselves, to say the least.

I had a lot of fun with the +1's, also the -1's.

I read somewhere that you lose rep for every posts you downrep, is that so? If so, I'll be in the minuses myself at this rate. My life will be ruined. <laughing>

If I'd ever had any intention of buying the game, I most certainly wouldn't do so now, no matter where it turned up.

Time for me to go, I see.

Take care, sleep well when you do.

-laughs- Yes, it doesn't seem good to end up with reminders of when some inept person screwed up on your skin.
Oops, made the mistake of refreshing the page. Definitely time for me to be out of here.

Have a good day / night, everyone.

I think out of everyone so far, I have actually been the worst person to add to me :)
I keep thinking how to tie a tattoo in to this at some point too, just to say I have one. (Piercings and scars interest me much more as far as living art goes, but I kind of feel remiss not having something. Originally I was going to turn a patch of jumbled shapes on the back of a lower leg in to a stained glass looking panel with the pride colors in it, but that set proved too shallow to not heal away.

Damn 11pm I should sleep.

That's good, figured I'd mention it just in case. Didn't seem appropriate to send you something of me going off without mentioning it.

It's all about the approach, and that's what so many people are missing utterly.
If you want people to understand and eventually come over to your position, screaming at them or insulting them isn't going to do it.
All they've managed to do is generate negative response to the game, the developers and themselves for their comments.

If GOG was contemplating having an in-depth discussion with the public, why on earth would they actually go through with it, based on what they've already seen? It'd be entirely pointless.

-laughs- I think you'll be okay. That isn't the case, and even if it was, it doesn't sound like your happiness is dependent on the size of a number on a video game store forum.

Agreed. I would have purchased it at some time when it was on sale.
But I'm not a fan of outrage hype generation. It's a cheap tactic, and it makes me think that it's being used because there's very little beyond that to point out as qualities.

More than that, I already strongly dislike being associated with the overall perception of video gamer, since it's so ridiculously childish.
Given that most of the people I've seen pushing for the game exemplify every one of those negatives? There's no way in hell I'm buying it, now, later or ever.

I'll stop blabbing so you can stop wrestling with your computer lag.
Have a good day, talk with you later on. =)

Ah well. Chalk it up to initial experimentation. =)

Interesting concept, maybe you can figure out how to take the idea and utilize it on its own, so you don't have to contend with getting tattoo ink into scar tissue. Have heard that can be rather difficult.

My concern is that once I get an idea of what to do, I'll end up building on it and it'll never end.

11 here as well, but no sleep planned any time soon.
If you're heading off to bed, have a good night and sleep well. =)

EndreWhiteMane: I knew which thread it was without even looking. :-)
That asshole deserved every word of it.
You'll probably get +1'd to death for that. ;)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Think I'll just stick to here and maybe a release thread to be supportive when something interesting comes out.

Aside from that, I'll read my books, organize downloads, maybe watch a movie and stay away from more conflict shit.

SpooferJahk: Well, today kinda sucked on my end since some idiots backed into my car while I was leaving a store today. Thankfully it can be fixed but I am not looking forward to draining my savings on my car since I know my insurance will not cover everything right now. Not exactly making much money so I can't just throw money willy nilly at it right now.
avatar
CarrionCrow: I'm sorry to hear you're having to deal with that crap.

Was it primarily cosmetic damage, or did the dumbasses manage to really mess your car up?

(Also, bite me, spellchecker. I spelled that word right. The person said there was more than one person who hit their car. The plural of dumbass is dumbasses.)
It was mostly cosmetic from what I have seen so far, just kinda peeved at the possible cost mostly and the fact that this is the first time I really face this issue.
Good morning, everyone!

I hope you are all having a nice start to the day?

Good morning. =)

Doing all right here, waiting to get sleepy enough to go to bed.

How's your day going so far?

Good morning, or rather night for you! :-)

Are you doing anything fun to pass the time while you get tired enough for some sleep?

My day is going good so far. I'm a little stiff after yesterday's work, and I have a few more days like that to look forward to, so I think I will be in a bit of pain by the time the weekend comes. But nothing too bad. I will just spend Sunday relaxing and hopefully my muscles won't ache too much.

No, not really. Reading the forum a bit, which is generally a massive waste of time recently, and downloading more items so things can hopefully be situated by the start of the summer sale.

Fingers crossed that you'll be able to get through the rest of the week without being in too much pain.

Yeah, I was just reading some of the threads. I think you are so sweet for defending tinyE. I never liked the look of the game some people are getting all abusive over, but after seeing how supporters of the game behave I am kind of glad GOG doesn't have it here. What I find funny is that GOG has not made a statement (as far as I know), so how do all these people know it's a violation of freedom (which to be honest is such rubbish)? GOG turns down games all the time, but just because this one is "controversial" everyone is getting all worked up over it. I didn't see that for any other game, violent or otherwise, GOG turned download.

Thank you. I will be fine. Yesterday was 8 hours non stop hard work with no break in the afternoon, and I will be doing the same for the next few days. That's after a 5 hour block of hard work first thing in the morning as well, so it tends to take it's toll on the body. But a few days of rest and all will be better.

They don't. It's all speculation.

The developers went with the outrage tactic, and the backlash to that outrage, as their marketing, and people are falling for it.
Getting the strong feeling that the people fighting just want to be right. It's not about the game, it's about them wanting to fight, be outraged, feel victimized, have an excuse to have tantrums and scream.

You're a strong lady. That downtime needs to get here already so you're not having to work crazy hours.
