EndreWhiteMane: Old Whining One suits me in RL. (Not really but I get picked on a lot for it. When something important isn't getting done I complain a lot, and loudly, until it does.) Old Grumpy One would probably be better. ;-)

It's certainly a possibility... The setting does have a flavour of whatever the magical equivalent of steampunk is (magicpunk?)
