Nice parades you have in Spain !
Well, have a merry Christmas, so...
I hope you'll have plenty of presents and not a bunch of coal ^^
So of course I will get lots of them.
It's more secular than religious. It's all about the gift-giving, just like Santa Claus. Of course there are masses at church, but I don't think all that many people bother or even care.
Both are celebrated, but the epiphany itself is the big day. That's the national hoiday. Today, everything's open and there's a frenzy of last minute shoppers. Today's the day for watching the parade, eating the traditional roscón, and putting the children to sleep.
