HypersomniacLive: ... I don't know who told you to install Java, but I assure you that it's not needed for using the GOGWiki site.
Someone else (non GoG tribal member) had asked me to install it for something else... it didn't work and I'm fine with that.
HypersomniacLive: Greasemonkey should also not interfere with your GOG nav bar. Can you try to uninstall and reinstall it? Did you install the Barefoot Essentials 2.0 script?
You should be able to set up your GOGWiki page any way you like, even without the Barefoot Essentials 2.0 script, it just makes things simpler and automates the procedure of importing your wishlist and game shelf.
Yes, I installed the Greasemonkey and Barefoot Essentials as Barefootmonkey's instructions spelled out (which installed just fine). I'll fiddle a bit with Firefox to see if it might be some setting issues before I uninstall and reinstall it.
To be honest, I've often found that the automation of things doesn't make them simpler,
and I might find it simpler to manually add all the details to set up the wiki, though more time consuming. heh!
But I must admit, after hearing about the Barefoot Essentials, I would like to see it in action at least once, though I probably won't use it all the time once it is set up. Too much luxury for me... Using GoG as it is makes me almost feel like I'm back in the '90's :P
ElTerprise: I thinlk I'm going to sleep now. Got really tired...
See you all later :)
*good night hugs and waves*
Goodnight "return hugs and waves" :)
HypersomniacLive: Do you have other add-ons installed? If yes, which ones?
Just the two, Barefootmonkey's instructions pointed out, but I don't see any JavaScript installed, if it is. Although GoG.com worked in Firefox in the past...
Well, all this can wait, hope you get that hour of sleep, or two even, we can PM about it when you're feeling better, which I also hope will be soon!
CarrionCrow: Honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss. When I wanted to set one up, Hyper was kind enough to walk me through it.
I was clueless before that point.
You've got a
way better chance of getting good info from Tom. He's a tech guy, he actually knows what he's doing rather than using a hodgepodge of accumulated crap to get by like I do. -laughs-
I'm at a lost for these new fangled high level script coding stuff. a constantly upgraded hodgepodge indeed.
Whilst I'm sure Tom is highly qualified, and competent, 'twas not he who asked me to set up a GoG User wiki!
