CarrionCrow: An Ouya is the kind of crap a rabid video game history buff collects when it's cheap.
It never gets taken out of the box, it just sits there as a monument to deceptive business practices.
I never really got the appeal of the Ouya... Android games are generally pretty rubbish, and not quite worth playing on a phone, never mind on a dedicated console..

Hello!

How are you, it seems like a while since we last spoke. How are you and your partner doing? Is work going well, keeping you busy I hope?

ddickinson: But will she just stop with the stars on GOG, or will she continue until the heavens themselves belong to her collection of stars. :-)

How was the Lion King in English, was your family able to understand it okay?
avatar
moonshineshadow: It was really great :-)
And the understanding was ok for everyone, my mum had watched the film again before to clearly remember the story :-)

But I'll go to sleep now *good night hugs and waves*
Have a good night with plenty of make-up rest. =)

Hmmm... and here I thought all I needed to do was decide on a name for an intelligence based stat to govern things like magic... but looking into the whole attributes issue has got me thinking about which other stats I need or don't need... :/

The more I look into it all, the more attributes I want to add!
Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, and I should be looking at what kind of things characters will be able to do, and what attributes I need to govern those skills...

*disappears back into cave muttering*

Don't mind me!

Good evening, Crow.

How are you? Have you had a good day so far?

Yeah, we've been really busy with work and while I've been lurking here I haven't posted much as I just didn't feel like I had anything to say. But we're both fine thank you.

Had a really nice day, went down to the sea and had fish and chips and ice cream. The weather's lovely here at the moment.

Been working on an idea for a roguelike game (might even finish this one!), hence the mutterings :)

How are you? Sounds like your quite busy at the moment...

I am glad to hear you are both doing fine, and that you had a really nice day at the seaside. The weather sure has been lovely recently, nice and sunny and with a nice breeze to keep it nice and cool.

Fingers crossed your ideas work out well for you.

I am good, thank you. Spring is a very busy time for us, and I have been doing 16-18 hours days recently. A few more weeks and it should be back to normal a little, but for the moment I am quite busy. Except for this weekend, when I have a long weekend free to spend with my partner and go to a fancy ball organised by some of my partners friends down south.

Let loose!
PM me if you want. I've not really got much experience with Pen and Paper RPGs so I'm just dredging up bits and pieces from around the internet (combined with my experience of roguelikes and RPGs) to give me ideas, so anything you can add would be appreciated :)

Pas experience shows it probably won't, but even if I don't get very far I'll have fun doing it, so it's worth it.

Ouch. Done a few days like that myself at events last year, can't say I'd want to be doing it regularly...
Is that already? Did you get your dress made? Hope you enjoy it, it sounds like it should be fun.
We had planned to be naughty and go away this weekend, but the hotel we usually go to was booked up and we didn't really fancy going anywhere else, so we scrubbed it and just took the day off today and had a trip out. Not quite a seven course meal and a few days of peace and quiet in the Lakes, but a lovely day anyway :)

Welp, gonna get busy with a few things, then continue my frigid combat-filled adventures in Icewind Dale.

That's a good attitude, as long as you have fun doing it, then it's worth while. Plus you learn new things all the time while doing it, so even if this one does not work out, you might learn things that can be used for another game.

The long days are not too bad, I was doing 18-20 hours a day early in the year when I had all the family problems, so 16-18 is not too bad. It is always busy time for farmers, ending up the winter crops and sorting the summer crops, plus there are some things that need doing with the animals.

My dress is all made and ready, complete with a few lovely accessories. I am quite looking forward to it, and the fact we will have a long weekend together and I don't have to worry about work.

It's a shame you missed out on a weekend in the Lakes. But at least you still managed to have a nice time at the seaside. Hopefully you will have better luck the next time you fancy a short break together.

Good evening. =)

Doing okay here. Fell asleep for a bit but I'm up again. Stupid chair dozing.

Hopefully your day has been good as well, aside from the huge amounts of work you're having to do.

Yeah, I would love to finish something, sell it, and make some money from it. But I just love thinking about game design, ideas for mechanics and how to implement them. And I really enjoy the technical side of programming things too, so even my usual aborted half projects teach me something and are fun. Setting my sights at something a bit more achievable this time though, so we'll see :)

It sounds like all the time is a busy time for you... I hope you enjoy your weekend off together :)

Yeah, we'd have loved to go because we're in desperate need of a break.. things have been quite hectic since work picked up (ironic, considering we had loads of free time and no work not that long ago...) and it's been pretty non stop. But we'll probably manage to sneak a couple of nights in somewhere eventually, just need to find a week where we have three days in a row with out work XD
Uhm..I think i'll go to bed now. Just had a short nap in my chair....
So Good Night everyone! *good night hugs and waves*

See you all later :)

Well at least you got some sleep, it's just a shame it was at your computer again.

How about a keyboard bed? :-)

My day has been good, the morning was very busy, but not so bad in the afternoon. Tomorrow and the next day will be a lot more strenuous, but nothing too bad. Hopefully I won't tire myself out before my nice weekend away. My partner came to keep me company at work this evening, so the extra few hours I was working passed quite nicely, so that was good.

Perhaps you are just waiting for the perfect game to come along. Until then you are just practising and learning new skills. But as long as you are having fun and treating it more like a fun hobby, then that is good, and makes it a lot more enjoyable for you.

This year has been a busy year for me at work, but it's not too bad, I love my work and would not do any other job. Although I would like some more free time to spend with my partner. I am sure my weekend will be great, just what I needed to help me unwind after the last few months.

Maybe you could eventually keep a weekend free and try not to book any work, that way you could use that free time to enjoy yourself. But I guess it's hard to turn down work during the spring and summer seasons, especially as you are not sure what winter will be like.

I think I would make your tendency of going very large-scale that much worse right now. -laughs-

Right away, magic is one of those things that can sprawl out like there's no tomorrow, systems-wise.
Howdy folks, errands done and back again.
