CarrionCrow: Not my intention, believe me. Desk sleeping gets old fast.

-laughs- Trying to cut back, but that is a series of victories and failures.
Just grabbed another cup with some Irish creme in it, so I can add very slight intoxication to being overcaffeinated.

Not getting much sleep on your end?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Ho... a kind of irish coffee ? :D
No... not much sleep... but it's my own fault. I just never want to go to sleep, until I feel completely exhausted.

ElTerprise: It's from yesterday - after i got out of the oubliette ;).

Not sure how specifically Irish it is, it's just alcohol that works well with coffee. -laughs-

You sound exactly like me with that statement. Stay up until you can't stay up anymore.
I've had some Tiramisu for breakfast, so of course I feel GOOOOOD!!! :D

Lol... usually we use whiskey (so that's an Irish coffee) or I rather use cognac (it is called French coffee)... but I hardly ever have some... (only, and rarely, at the restaurant... I can't make them...)
Hehe, that's it. That's the idea ! ;) ... Staying awaken until I collapse.

It was either that or some variety of wine. Ever mix wine with coffee? Makes for a fairly disgusting taste experience.

I know all about that. Have been doing that for years now. Always makes staying on any kind of schedule a complete mess, trying to mesh that with being awake during the day, working, doing things.
In your case, though, it's got to be even harder trying to keep some kind of energy level in between working and caring for your children.

Well i've only read the original cycle with drawings from Moebius (what a genius) yet... (i'm just a huge fan of franco-belgian comics).
Comics would be the correct term (it's the same word in Germany) (which doesn't fit always imho) the french word bande desinée is far better :) because it differentiates the comics from comical...
Otherwise the term graphic novel would be an option ... but i don't know if it fits either...

):-| Holy cow... never mix -anything- with wine !! (except to make some hot wine with cinammon, spices and oranges bits in winter... okay...). Wine and coffee sounds like a foolish "dare" challenge...
Yes, it's sometimes quite challenging, I must admit.

(Yes, Moebius !!! \o/)
I agree, "comics" makes me think about Marvel comics, Batman, and random superheroes... :-|
Graphic novel...... I have no idea...... Does the expression "comic strip" mean something different either ?... (It makes me think about the very short, "one line" comics in the newspapers, maybe ... ?)

Yes. I think comic strip refers to something like newspaper strips like Garfield of Dilbert etc.
The definitions of the different terms are confusing....so i mostly don't really bother.

AFAIK Graphic Novel refers to something like MAUS from Art Spiegelman (Comics dealing with more serious settings and stories) but it's possible that the term is just a marketing phrase to differentiate these comics from the Superhero-stuff...
