CarrionCrow: Would say that by the end the person wasn't thinking anymore. Everything was pure reaction, all information being processed and acted on with no lag time at all. Only way you can make it that far.

For comparison, my best time is 62 seconds, and that's on the starting level.

toxicTom: I think I'm starting to see the similarities between Super Hexagon and tidying a kids' room... *no thinking - pure input-reaction-feedback-loop*

No seriously, sound like SHex is a really hypnotic experience. I've experienced it once in a while whith games (first time: Katakis on C64). Sadly I'm not "undisturbed" enough currently to get that deep into a game atm. And when I would have the time (like the mornings of this week) I rather rely on good old Zen sittings. Although the mental states are rather similar, a game comes with the danger of frustration overriding the "Zen" and I desperately need it to work right now, so I can't take the risk :-)
Understandable. If you start getting frustrated with that game, you might as well shut it off immediately.
At that point, you're going to endlessly fail, and you'll only get angrier.

ddickinson: Good evening, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well?

avatar
adaliabooks: Just popping in to say thank you to Tom for his ninja gift :)

And could everyone shower him with +1s!
avatar
ddickinson: I have been giving him and Moon a +1 all day, to get their shiny star. But a few more on his older posts to reward his ninja skills wouldn't hurt.

What game did he gift you, if you don't mind me asking? (Feel free not to answer, I just enjoy knowing what games people are gifted.)
Good evening. =)

Can't complain here, did my stuff for the day, everyone here seems to be feeling better for the most part, and the weather isn't full of sandstorm-level wind, which is a nice bonus.

How has your day been?

good evening, Crow! *big evening hug, but not too big to make you feel uncomfortable* :-)

Glad you are okay, and that the weather is not too bad. It can't be fun suffering all those sandstorms. I will take my green fields anytime. :-)

My day have been very nice, thank you. Work went well, and I had a lovely evening, so a good day.

ddickinson: I see tackling the room of Chaos has put you in a jolly gifting mood. Or maybe you have had too much to drink while celebrating your victory of the dark powers. :-)
My bank account has recharged after the devastating Insomnia sale. And the GOG sales recently have been mostly not very interesting for me. Also I managed to get some game time, so I don't feel the urge to buy games for myself as a compensation that much (I tend to amass games when I don't get my fix of playing).
I considered hosting an official giveaway, but I really don't have the time. And also I really like the people in this thread. So...

ElTerprise needs Barefoot Essentials and a GOGwiki account... :-)
heh, only 21 away from my 4th star..... I'm getting there :P

I know what you mean about gifting games rather than buying them for yourself (it has been a few months since I bought myself a game). I also understand your feeling about ninja gifting over a giveaway. I have not hosted a giveaway all year, although in truth that is mainly due to all the personal stuff I have had going on. But I have been feeding my gifting addiction with lots of ninja gifting. :-)

Perhaps we should all surround ElTerprise and make him get a GOGWiki account for ninja gifting. :-)

Your well earned and much deserved 4th star. I will be sure to give you some +1s to help speed up your next stars arrival. :-)

Contact Barefoot_Monkey for an account. It's what I did.

*Keeps a close eye on Crow and considers putting my wishlist on summer holidays while any big summer sale is on.* :-)

I know. Crow already told me. I just forgot it during the Easter Days....

adaliabooks: It would have to be pretty great to be better than The Beginning, I adored that game when it came out. Nothing quite like raising volcanoes in the middle of your enemies or terraforming the planet.
avatar
toxicTom: You can do that in the original Populous. And create swamps. And just raise the sea level (be sure to have your folks have built their settlements a little higher). The real sadistic awesomeness starts with Populous 2, but I really recommend playing the first, well first.
I look forward to playing it then :)

ElTerprise: Thank you very much +1 :). "To the Shop" *fanfare* ;P

Possibly server issues as had problems with GOG the entire evening....
Could be but I had for the entire day.Maybe because of people canceling the W3 preorder?

Edit: Wait a second. Just got an idea. I'll try to download the linux version of PoE on my laptop (which runs windows, hang on)
