tinyE: I'm 50 miles from a theater so I haven't seen it. I only make that trek for very special movies, like Episode VII which good or bad I will probably be camping out for. I just hope it doesn't come out in the winter or I'll be forced to build a damn igloo in front the of the theater. :P
avatar
CarrionCrow: Wow...you sound like me. 15 miles to the crappy local one, or 60 to a modern one. I can see why you don't head out that much.

-laughs- An igloo on the sidewalk...ice fishing in the parking lot...it'll be great!
Modern one!? XD That would be in Minneapolis, 400 miles away. It's 50 to the crappy one.

tinyE: Okay I don't spend much time in here and when I do I'm rude and offensive. Allow me to make amends with this little tidbit I just picked up from the Web. The dorks of us will dance for this, no one else will care. :P

Casey Jones will be in the next TMNT movie! :D
I don't know who Casey Jones is. And I have no idea what a TMNT movie is
*hides*
Ah no better idea
*hopes dd shows up to talk about something else since the guys here are talking about movie stuff*

What would you like to talk about? Games, books, Gunny and his lack of funds for prostitutes? :-)

LaPtiteBete: I understand... I did the same here :D ... Did you enjoy your meal ?
You've got quite eclectic tastes ; like me. (I don't know The Heavy !)
Year i had some "Krautsalat". Was delicious.

Music from The Heavy was used in the Borderlands 2 intro - that way i got to know them.

Aand i missed one artist i listened to quite often recently : Zaz (not that i understand much of the lyrics ^^)

superstande: Yeah that was loved to death by my wife :)
Great game. But I think neither of us can stand it anymore :) The music, the hardest levels... The rage, the love.
I actually never finished it - but i was really good but so hard...

I don't know him either. You're not alone :).

I just saw this weeks Humble Indie Bundle, and I was wondering what people thought of Torchlight 2? I like Diablo 2 kind of games, but I found the first Tortchlight to be very dull. Is the second game any better?

Yeah :D Gunny and his lack of funds would be fun if he was still here, but I think he went to sleep :D
So let's talk about your Torchlight 2 question.
In my opinion it is a nice game if you play it with someone in multiplayer. Alone it becomes boring very fast.

So we can't talk about prostitutes until Gunny wakes up. Damn. :-)

I was thinking of getting Torchlight 2 while it was part of the bundle. I would also get some Steam keys I could try to gift to others, which is always nice. If I had not already been gifted it, I would have gotten the bundle just for Outlast, as it is an awesome game.

LaPtiteBete: lol \o/ the Simpsons !! \o/
Just like DD who always find a owl for each situation, you always bring out a pretty accurate Simpson extract :-D
Well done, Agent ;-)

** Stampy the elephant-sized hug!! **
In french his name is "Lourdeau" ("oaf") ^^
I don't want Stampy-the-elephant hugs... one second after that, he puts Bart in his mouth... >__<... well, if it's only about the hug's size, it's ok ! :-D
**King-Homer-sized Hug**

I haven't played Torchlight II (yet) but from what i've heard it's better than the first in every aspect. Why do you found Torchlight dull? I'm curious because i quite liked it.

Far out, my Character made the cover of the KOTOR 2 menu page. :D I feel so evil and so honored. :P

I played the first two acts of Torchlight 2 with a friend. And it was nice just slashing tons of monsters while talking. But the story was not really interesting and the fights were most of the time not exciting. So for the last act which I played alone, I could not even bring myself to finish it.
But perhaps you should get some other opinions, I know there are many people who liked it :-)

*goes to check what other games are included in the bundle*

I found Torchlight 1 to be too repetitive with very little storyline. The levels were just the same ones repeated again and again. The enemies were the same, there was little to no real story to it, and the location became a but dull and samey. I don't know really, it just bored me. I loved Diablo 2, but I think that game had a much better storyline and had enough variation to keep it interesting. Torchlight 1 for me was just level after level of the same thing with no storyline to keep it interesting. I liked some parts of the game, the cool female character dual-wielding guns, the cute little pet that saved so much time selling items (there was also too much low level loot in the game). I liked the cartoon style to it, and at first I enjoyed it. but after an hour or so it just became dull.

If it wasn't for the fact you said you don't like horror games I would have suggested Outlast. I had so much fun playing that game. A strange amount of male nudity, but some very interesting characters and a fun game. I liked Doctor Trager's character, the voice actor and character were great. Even if he was evil. :-)

I largely played the game in short bursts - maybe that's why it doesn't bothered me that much.

Maybe that is where I went wrong. I tend to play a game and finish that game, only playing other games now and then. I like to complete a game once I start it. But it could just be the game appealed to you more. We all have different tastes, we like some games that others hate. I will probably get Torchlight 2 to see how it is, especially as I will get a Steam key for Outlast that I can share with someone.

Yep no scary games for me. I end up thinking too much weird stuff after scary things. Which is not so much fun if you are alone. Funny thing is, it only bothered me while awake, never when I went to sleep as some people sometimes say :D

Nothing I really need to have in this bundle. Which is good since I prefer to buy games here on gog, I have enough games scattered all over places and it is exhausting :D
