Is adding people who I've had some interaction with on gog forums on Steam frowned upon? I don't want to end up offending or weirding people out, I want to add more people so that I can fill my friendlist and also discover some new games to wishlist. It seems like too much effort going through all of steam discovery queue to find new games.

That seems like a good idea but I thought that then they might be forced to say yes. I usually have trouble responding to people with a no in a similar situation.

You make a good point but I lack the tact to tell them the why instead of saying that I want them in my friend list for their games wishlisted and played data. (I sound like a bot right now)
