EndreWhiteMane: Going OK, worrying too much about stuff, time to relax for a while.
I'm about 1/3 of the way through the "S"s in my download project so doing well there.

gunsynd: Gidday Endre,
Have you tried Darklands yet?
Not recently, I have trouble with the graphics on that one.
I really should have a go at it again, it sounds quite unique.
What do you think of it?
avatar
CarrionCrow: -laughs- In all probability. If it's a word that's identical in a far older country? Odds are this culture swiped it.
avatar
ddickinson: There is a very simple way to test if American stole a word. Just look how it is spelt. If it has been butchered and had letter removed or mixed up, then you stole it, if not, then you are just borrowing it. :-)
-laughs- I call it American English. I don't say I'm speaking English, since to me that would mean I'm using all the spellings and pronunciations from the UK, and I'm not since I'd feel like I was trying to portray myself as a person from that region of the world if I did.

Okay...to be fair, I prefer to use the spelling of anaesthetic with two A's. It just looks better to me.

CarrionCrow: Hopefully so. You and yours could use a very long break from any kind of grief or trouble.
I definitely could do with a short holiday and spending some quality time with my partner, but I don't see that happening any time soon. But that's okay, as long as I get my evenings and Saturday night and Sundays free to spend with my partner, I am happy.

Well as I said before, ignore the graphics and enjoy a GOG:-)

toxicTom: True, but it's not that simple. I actually often witness objectively poor people buying crap convenience food that is actually a lot more expensive that buying the raw materials. People have "unlearned" to cook, to prepare a proper meal. They buy "instant" stuff that is oversaturated with artificial "homogenous" taste that takes out all the fun of cooking (spicing things up) and still leaves them with all the tedious work (peeling/cutting/slicing the carrots). It's just dumb and sad...
You are right. I did not mean to imply everyone was unable to afford fresh food, there are those that are not taught about eating healthy. The media pushes fast food and unhealthy food on the public, and some people tend to do what the TV tells them to do. :-)

Endre seems to be picking up some bad habits from me and using English spellings now and then. He even says arse now instead of ass (which is a donkey). I am so proud of him. :-)

Makes me feel sophisticated, though a bit pompous. :-)

Hello, Gunny!

We have another Australian game coming to GOG soon. Armello, one of the games under the coming soon tab appears to be an Australian made game.

Surly not. It's the top hat and monocle that make you look pompous. :-)

OK, found my DOS copy. I'll get it running until I can afford to get it here.
The manual alone is a bit scary to me. :-)

Patience...;)
I'm thinking of getting some games (i.e. Bad Mojo Redux) from the weekend promo before it's over. Can anybody recommend the Cinemaware games?

Of course we do, you are a lovely American gentleman. Even if you do pretend to be nothing more than a dirty old man, we all see the truth. :-)
