AgentBirdnest: Humble is doing another
Comedy Bundle. Just a weekly one this time. Anyone have any thoughts on it?
I'm not a
huge fan of any of the comedians... I've never heard Brooks Wheelan's comedy before.
I still like them all, but I find this bundle a major disappointment compared to the first Comedy Bundle... I felt like the first one was made just for me.
I might buy the lowest tier for Doug and Iliza, and to give Brooks Wheelan a listen.
The sales are quite miserable, just like the first one...

First off, thanks for the heads-up on the bundle. Actually something I can see myself buying soon.
For me, the reasons to grab that will be Stanhope and Hicks primarily, with Marc Maron placing third in the entire group.
Stanhope wins for going the extra mile since you get both video and audio versions of his show, getting Maron's show in video rather than a straight MP3 is also good, and any time you can get video of Hicks performing for a dollar is pretty frigging good as well.
Would absolutely recommend Beer Hall Putsch, Arizona Bay and Rant in E Minor to anyone who doesn't get offended easily. First bought one of the last two in a frigging Borders bookstore in my hometown something like 15 years ago, and I still remember having one disc in my CD player (which I'd bought from the Best Buy in the same shopping center something like ten minutes before, having already ripped the packaging off and loaded it up) and laughing my ass off while in line to buy the other one.
Amazingly, it's a bundle where the high-end tier still makes the whole thing feel like a massive bargain, rather than a bullshit add-on to get people to pay more.
