I've tried Mint and I like it. The Debian/Ubuntu variants are more approachable for the newcomer who is used to GUIs and things that look pretty (I'm easily pleased). And their repositories are full of stuff that might come in handy, so that's the way I'll go for now ;-)

Hello, Owl, Viking and Viking - hmm... this is getting a bit confusing; did I manage to miss nay titles we have to distinguish between the two of you when not using your usernames?

I'm doing ok, though I'm annoyed with the weather acting as if we were going from autumn into winter. It was quite a bit better until yesterday evening, which was nice as I spent most of my weekend outdoors.
