CarrionCrow: Son of a bitch....watching the first bit of gameplay video for Sword Coast Legends and now I want it.

An actual Baldur's Gate-type game that's in an actual D&D setting is very tempting, since they didn't do anything but a frigging MMO with 3rd and 4th edition.
avatar
l0rdtr3k: How much? When? Will it be on GOG?
I saw a video and got me hyped.
Price - Available for preorder from their site for 35.
When - Third quarter this year according to the competition's store page.
GOG availability - Unknown. I'm not seeing any megacorps attached to it as publishers, so that could mean a better chance of it arriving here.
Potential problem though, since they're pushing multiplayer DM Mode, and I have no idea how that would work without a multiplayer infrastructure in place.

EndreWhiteMane: I'm getting all English Windows content. I'll go back for Linux later too.
I like to get the flac to play on the home stereo system.
I got tired of trying to sort which games I had all the newest content for and decided to just do it all again.
Going to be a long project though. :/

ddickinson: I wonder if Galaxy will include a feature that will be able to check if you have the newest content and save you all the hassle of having to download everything?

Also, how are you doing with your new(ish) medication? Has it started to settle down and do it's job?
New med's OK, not very effective but it helps a bit.
I certainly hope Galaxy has an updater, the way it is is pretty useless.

ddickinson: Well I had better call it a night. Hopefully my extra long sleep last night has given my mind the reset it needed and I will be able to get some proper sleep tonight.

Goodnight, everyone! Have a nice evening (or what's left of it).

*Goodnight hugs*
*big good night hug* sleep well :-)

Night DD, here's hoping you get a good sleep.

It's got one showing in the alpha, so they're going to be implementing it, I'm sure.

Figuring it'll be like the competition, if you have a game loaded up, the update will immediately go with it.

Additional - Info on Sword Coast Legends seems to be a bit sparse when it comes to what will be available.
Figuring the classic quad of fighter/mage/cleric/thief will be there since it's what the company president used in the video, but I can't find what the other two classes will be.

That would be better than this by far, hell the file version numbers don't even match up from one place to another.
Must drive those unfamiliar with file management nuts.
Edit: Hell, it drives me nuts! :-)

moonshineshadow: *wave* How was your weekend?
*waves back*

My weekend was pretty nice, thank you. I wish the weather was a bit more spring-like, though. I spent most of my weekend outdoors, and it being mostly cloudy with occasional drizzle, and quite chilly wasn't exactly fun.

How was yours?

Oh, and btw - Endre never showed up to do the chores yesterday; shame, I thought he was more reliable. I had to re-plan my whole weekend, not to mention that the list I had made for him went to waste; ;-P

ddickinson: I didn't want to derail the thank the fellows thread, so I thought I would ask here.

What other games would you consider bad games that are not on your wishlist?

[...]
Hmm... I'd have to give this some thought, but I'm not a fan of racing/ sports games in general. Or of shooters, though there are a few exceptions here.

avatar
ddickinson: [...]

Also, don't think I have forgotten that you have not told me your top 5 most wanted games from your wishlist. *keeps poking Hyper until he tells me* :-)
I will refer you to your own statement:
HypersomniacLive - A stubborn bugger
Perhaps you should try a different approach, or give up altogether? ;-P

avatar
Stilton: Yeah, I'm disappointed about that, too. Maybe GOG will sort themselves out and give us the avatar zoom option back...
The zoom option is a Barefoot Essentials features. Clicking on your avatar enlarges it, but not by much, still enough for the snow to be visible; I think you need to upload a higher resolution version, so that the down-scaling GOG does doesn't affect the zoom feature much.

And goodnight, rest well.

And to anyone else that left our company in the time it took me to type my post, as I haven't refreshed the thread.

Hi Hyper, sorry about those chores, I lost the plane tickets. :-(
The 'zoom' feature just seems to add a shadow right and bottom now. I re-uploaded my avatar but no change. :/

Yeah, the whole thing is a bit of a mess, to put it mildly.
This is the fun of supporting GOG through their continued growing pains.

CarrionCrow: Can't complain here since my internet's working again.

How are you doing today?
I'm doing alright, you know you look forward to the weekend and then when it happens you end up doing nothing! Haha well at least that was me on Saturday. Today (Sunday) I went out with my family which was relaxing but sitting here in my room now I realized tomorrow is another Monday, another full week. Agh! Really my only complaint is waking up early, my work starts at 7 AM and I get up a good hour before that. I even started watching Memento but didn't get to finish it yet! :P

How are you doing by the way? :-)

Ah, forgot to mention an important detail. GOG changed the format they use for the avatars, so you need to tweak Barefoot Essentials a bit to get the zoom feature to work properly; that's until Barefoot_Monkey updates it properly.
See here.

Sounds like you might've needed the downtime more than the freedom of the weekend, at least in part.

Good movie. Need to rewatch it again at some point. Unless you've got other stuff to do, you might be able to squeeze it in and still get 8 hours before having to go to work.

Can't complain here, making a snack in between watching a thriller called Identity on Netflix. It's pretty good so far.

No worse than your early sings of dyslexia. :-)
I'll wait for the update, thanks for that though, be nice to have the zoom again.
It's timefor little blob to go to sleep.
See you guys tomorrow.
