Hi everyone! Sorry, going to slip back into my taxes after this, but I hope you're well.

Hi genki! I'm about to scan a set of workpapers for an accountant and noticed a 1099-MISC to one of our clients from Big Fish Games. I thought of you. :)

Love your title, we were just talking about that. :-)

CarrionCrow: Will continue to keep fingers crossed regarding your sleep.
I'd pray or something, but that'd boil down to me screaming, "Hey assholes, let the poor lady get some frigging sleep!" And then people here would look at me funny. (Funnier. Or funnily? Damn it, language, you're a pain sometimes.)

Same, I never got a chance to play those items at their original release, just spent years seeing people say how great they all are. Will get Outlaws and Indiana Jones from GOG member word of mouth to round it all out.

Also, have to say it - Playing stuff before you buy more? That's adorable. -laughs-

Yes, I know you always have that look when the subject comes up. It's the look of a person filing the info away for ninja gifting, whether sooner or later.
It's very much appreciated, to be sure, but what I'm doing is silly enough. No need for people to throw extra coin into the crazy pile. ;)
avatar
ddickinson: Thank you, but screaming would not be necessary :-). I am slowly getting there, so a few more weeks and hopefully I will be fine when it comes to getting enough sleep.

You picked the two Lucas Arts games that I passed on. Not that they are bad games, just that at the moment I don't see myself playing them.

I know, I'm strange. Actually playing games is strange enough, but not hoarding more until I have played the games I own is just unheard of round these parts. :-)

Well, I will try to respect your wishes and not gift any games. But I can't make any promises. Sometimes the urge to gift just gets the better of me. :-)

And speaking of sleep, I had better try to get some, as I am out extra early tomorrow. Goodnight, everyone! I hope you enjoy what is left of your evening and that you all have a good nights sleep.

*goodnight hugs*
I picked those to complete the Lucasarts thing. Hopefully they'll both be enjoyable.

Hey, I actually do play games. I just buy them faster than I can beat them. -laughs-

Have a good night, sleep well. =)

Missed the discussion, but thanks! :) My little nod to the unbundling.

Which really doesn't bother me (I don't visit my shelf except to dl new games or updates - I surf my collection on my external hd), but its relationship to the "totally optional, man" Galaxy frustrates me to no end. Not that that's not completely documented elsewhere on the forum. :)
Good night, everybody !!
See you in a couple of hours ;)
(with a random big pot of hot coffee...)

Good evening. =) Doing okay, hopefully you're doing well also. Try to stay sane beneath the mountains of work.

CarrionCrow: Try to stay sane
That boat sailed a long time ago. ;)

But it's been a bit light today so far. Going to process some returns and hope not much else shows up and maybe, just maybe, get out of here before 9!

That would be good. A person can't live on the joy of 12 hour work days processing tax forms alone.

Because of the 1099 or because of Big Fish? XD

CarrionCrow: Yay. Birthdays. They kinda sorta suck tons of ass.

You're a good person, so I hope things get better. Birthdays in general can still go fuck themselves, though.

Also, pumpkin pie does sound better than cake. Wouldn't dry out like cake does.
Birthdays don't usually get to me. If anything, they're usually just another day. But this one was worse because of other things going on. (Getting no sleep whatsoever didn't help.)

l0rdtr3k: You're a girl!? ALong with moon,I thought you were a dude.
No offense.
Yep. I realize the Iron Man icon might be misleading, but I am very female.

avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hoo... What's wrong, Penumbren ? :-(
Happy birthday (anyway) !!
Thanks! Just... stuff. Too depressing and yet pedestrian to get into.

avatar
adaliabooks: Happy birthday! :)
Thank you!

avatar
ddickinson: Hello birthday girl! Happy birthday!

And what would a birthday be without presents. I see Moon has gifted you Loom, leaving Dig, Zak McKracken, and Monkey Island 2. If you let me know which is top of your list, I will see to it that a birthday code magically appears in your PM box. :-)
Thank you for the birthday wishes. :) You do not need to get me a gift! I know, though, that with you protests get us nowhere. ;P I'm not actually sure which game I'd pick - either The Dig or Zak McKracken. Not MI2, if only because I haven't yet finished the first one.

Thanks again to everyone for the kind words. Things will get better for us, but there are times it gets hard to hold onto that. *sigh* You guys always seem to say something to make me smile, and it's much appreciated.
avatar
moonshineshadow: Oh don't worry, I am not offended at all *big hug* Just curious what made you think that :-)
Well I hate to break the bad news but I think you just hugged someone with jizz in his pants
avatar
zenwan: That would be something, but I can't see it happening any time soon.

Good morning / evening Agent, glad to meet you.

Why is 'evening' the only word one can use to greet someone, even if it's the middle of the night over there? Good night is just another way of saying goodbye.
It's the same in many other languages, evening just hangs on and on and on...

Well, whatever, I hope you are having a good evening anyway. :-D
avatar
AgentBirdnest: Good mevening. Glad to meet you as well.

I've always been a bit annoyed by that... I wish there were another way to say "good night" without meaning "good bye"... I guess I'll just keep making up my own words, like "mevening" :-D

Thanks. Hope you are having a good morning :-)
Sorry I missed this, I must have logged off just as it came in. I like that word 'mevening', it is just right. Good mevening to you, wherever you are.

A quick hello to anyone who is reading this, which may be no-one right now. ;-) It's 5,30am already, and I'm on my second cup of coffee - yum.

Hope you are all ok, at least as ok as it's possible to be. So many in this thread seem to have problems, I am sorry to read about them, but all i can do is offer +1's to you and the kind people who care about you. This is a very caring and friendly place.

I don't see anyone green here, so I'll head off to play a game. Never played any Lucas Arts games, so I put some of them in my wishlist for another time, but I have plenty of games yet to play, so no rush.

Hope you're ok, Crow - enjoy your evening / night.

Btw, it's strange that after I log out, I still show as online for ages. What's with that? I came back online the other day to check something, wasn't logged in, yet on a thread I'd posted in, I showed as green. Strange....

Penumbren: editing to say that I read about your birthday sadness, and I am very sorry to hear it. I sent you a big Zenhug, and hopes that things will improve for you. Remember:
'Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.'

Well...crap. Didn't see your post earlier. Trying to make a bit of a dent in the Netflix backlog that supplements my GOG backlog.

Good morning, hopefully you're having a pleasant day wherever you are. =)
