zenwan: Good morning, everyone who is up and about. It's 4.45am here, and my coffee is steaming on my desk.

It's 6C 43F right now, forecast to go up to 18C 64F, but there's a cold front coming down from the north, bringing rain - I hope so, I love the rain.

Hope you all had a good day or a good night's sleep, or at least a few hours sleep, judging by this thread.

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

10:09 pm here, no rain (a mixed blessing since I also love storms, but I'm not so fond of the frequent power outages that come with them), nursing an oversized cup of diet soda and taking a break from playing Nihilumbra, a really pleasant puzzle-platformer game.

How's your day going so far?
Good evening, glad to hear a friendly voice, so to speak.
Foxclocks (Firefox addon) tells me you must be in Pacific time, probably way over on the West Coast somewhere. I spent a couple of years in the USA, loved your country and the friendly people, and all the parts of the West Coast that I visited were incredibly beautiful.

It's strange: I'm a very long way away, on a different continent, we're even on different oceans, you're Pacific and I'm Atlantic, yet we communicate as though we are next door!

I understand exactly about the power, it happens a lot here as well. I have to remember to save everything regularly, and make a flask of coffee to have ready whenever the weather looks threatening. I don't function well without coffee.

Well, I've got the time zone. Not the scenery so much, though. It's all mountains and sand where I am.
Can't remember the last time I actually saw the ocean. Need to work on that.

Yes, technology is pretty incredible. It's easy to take for granted, but the ability to be speaking with someone a continent and an ocean away in a split second is an amazing thing.

Likewise, when a storm kicks in, it's all about making sure everything computer-related is in good shape.

Good thing about coffee, by the way. Besides myself, there are at least three other people who frequent the thread that drink quite a bit of it.

I like mountains also, but preferably not where it's hot and dry. I like mountains and trees and forests and water and lots of rain. I have somehow always ended up living in hot, dry places, and I long for cool forests and rain.

But it does help to be next to the ocean, water always makes me feel revived, and walking along the clifftop boardwalk each day is a happy experience.
.
Perhaps you should take a trip to the sea - is it a long way away? Distances in the US are always so vast.

Coffee - yum!
I'm off now, time to get my day moving. Nice chatting to you, hope you sleep well.

And a happy day / night to all who enter here...

I envy your scenery. Would be far more pleasant than the surroundings here.

I think it would take a full day to get to the ocean from where I am, if not slightly more.
It could be worse, I could live in the midwest and be a long way from both oceans.
Good morning (or whatever), everybody !!

Good morning, Owl! *big hug*

How is my lovely French friend doing today? I hope you had a very nice weekend.

I made something for you. You mentioned before that your second star shows you as a respectable member of the forum, well I don't think rep is that important, I think you were a wonderful member of the forum long before your second star, and to demonstrate what I think your rep should be, and to feed your craving for stars, I made you a little picture of how I will picture your avatar and stats on the forum from now on (see attached image).

I am glad you had a busy weekend, and that your new spot seems to be doing well. Hopefully this will just keep improving as the warmer weather gets here.

I did indeed have a very pleasant Sunday. Do you have much planned for the day?
