HypersomniacLive: I simply don't trust you to see your end of the deal and for good reason. Simple as that, you have to win my trust on this one, words won't cut it. ;-)
I will have you know that this English lady always keeps her word, I don't agree or commit to anything I do not intend to do. I seem to recall you playfully questioning if I did a paper raffle for my Thank the Fellows Giveaway as I said I would, and did I not prove that I kept my word, just like when I did a draw with paper boats? So if we are on the question of trust, how do I know I can trust you to keep your word and uphold your side of the bargain? ;-)

I also never said anything about the GOGwiki, I simply said I would share my written wishlist. But okay, I will go first, but only after you agree to the deal.

You keep wanting me to be more accommodating in accepting gifts, so okay, I will be more humble and accept gifts, without giving excuses and reasons not to take them, I will accept them as a sign of gratitude for the generous gift. I will also look into getting a GOGwiki page set up and keep the wishlist up to date. However, you must also agree to these terms. You must be willing to accept gifts without trying to refuse them by being humble or any other reason, if I am willing to accept gifts, then you must be as well. You must also agree to keep your wiki wishlist up to date.

Can you agree to this? Do I have your word that you will uphold your end of the bargain without making extra clauses to get out of it? Of course, you don't have to honour your side of the deal until I get a GOGwiki page set up, which I will look at doing in the new year.

Why would you want to? And why does DD feel Hyper has to do ANYTHING for her to act with humility?
Color me confused. (And a bit irritated)

Don't ask me for what is going on with their deal :D I was just commenting on it, since DD is a generous member who often gifts people. And many have expressed the wish to also gift her something but since she does not have a public wishlist it is hart to gift something :D

It's just a little bit of playful banter between myself and Hyper. For a while now Hyper has wanted me to be more open to accepting gifts, he also turned down a gift from me because I don't accept any, so this is all just a bit of playful fun between us both.

In reality, Hyper does not have to anything for me to act with humility, something I am already good at and do all the time. There is also no reason why people should want to gift me games. Out of curiosity, why does it irritate you?

Just skip over those parts that break off on their own tangents, and attempt to forge anew, a topic of discussion (or distraction)...

It does not take much of an effort to realign a thread that has no specific train of thought.

Being irritated is bad for the digestion.

I have a reason. I like you.
It has nothing to do with paying gifts back/forward/sideways. It has nothing to do with obligation. I just like to give stuff to people I like.

On the other hand...
As much as I would love to see you make your wishlist public, I fear that the ensuing bombardment of gifts might make your head explode.

I don't want you to die, dd! :-(

Why thank you, fine sir. You certainly know how to bring a smile to a lady's face. :-)

Death by gifting, now there is an interesting way to go. Sadly I have tried it, I have bombarded some people with many gifts, but so far no explosions. Perhaps I have not been trying hard enough. :-)

All right....another standard night (thankfully), the data is flowing, and I got another chance at the Tomb Raider stuff that eluded me during the November half of the tag team two part sale.
Not bad.

Hello?

... anyone here? Did you all explode from stuffing yourself with christmas food?

ddickinson: So, how many of you are making New Years resolutions this year? I never do serious things for my resolution, only little things. If they are serious, I do them straight away, rather than wait for a specific day to start. One of mine is to not buy any of the low quality, over priced indie games that we keep getting. I am not usually a snob for graphics, but I'm tired of all these developers using the indie title as an excuse for sloppy, low quality games, games that make 20 year old games look advanced.
My new years resolution will be 1920x1080. :P

But really, i never saw the point with such things. Sounds more like just another excuse to procrastinate for a year. If i have to do something i'll do it right away.

adaliabooks: Languages are one of the few things I've never had any success with. I don't know why but I have always struggled with languages. I'm not great on the guitar, I've never really gotten far when teaching myself. But after watching the Foo Fighters Sonic Highways series I really want to learn again.

ddickinson: I'm thinking of trying to learn Japanese, no real reason why, it's just one that jumped out at me. As for the instruments, I'm torn between the piano and the violin, though I think it will be the piano.
That reminds me i bought a couple of books to help me learn japanese when i found the time for it. Although that kind of got pushed away a bit because i'm a procrastinator by heart and like to start things, but then never really finishing it. *heavy sigh*

Just like the time i learned a bit about hieroglyphics while i had an interest in ancient egyptian culture as a kid/teen. I did at least learn enough to spell my own name with it. So there is that. ;)

Good morning. =) Still awake here, trying to finish off the last of my end-of-the-year haul downloads.
How's your day going?

Morning :-) No exploding here :D

But when I woke up this morning, it was snowing!!! The last time there was snow around Christmas was more than ten years ago *happy hug for everyone that wants one*
Good morning all! I hope you are all doing well today.

I would love a happy hug, thank you :-). No snow for me, it's been a long time since I had snow around Christmas time, lots of rain, but hardly ever snow. It was nice and clear on Christmas Day itself though, which was nice.

Good morning. =) I'll be sure to tell any snow that shows up here to head your way so it can be appreciated. ;)

I'm good thank you, cold, but good.

Does anyone have anything nice planned for New Year's Eve? I usually spend it with close family and watch the firework displays.
