Shit, I'll probably be asleep as soon as I start the program anyway so why am I asking? :P

Idle curiosity? -laughs-

CarrionCrow: 23 items and Risen remain in round two for newer items.
avatar
Stilton: Well, it might turn up before I pass out ;-)

avatar
CarrionCrow: I'd say it's a combination of low standards on the part of some of the consumer base, and alternating laziness or disconnection from the process on the part of developers.

Someone should have noticed that using a flashlight, then shooting an enemy the same number of times was garbage. Or that the dodging was crap. Or that the game had no suspense. Or that the driving should've been removed completely.

But when you're packed in with your coworkers, and everyone thinks it's great, then it's the echo chamber of bullshit until reality comes along, tells you your ideas sucked, then makes sure you don't get to try again.
avatar
Stilton: Unless you're Codemasters, in which case you keep right on doing it.
Hopefully. You've got one item (fuck you once again, Anomaly Defenders) that could go really slowly, but you've also got some (Dragonfall, Xenonauts, FTL) that could go really quickly.
But even then, you have to factor in how many copies GOG puts up for the round.
One good thing, though - they've been reducing the number of slow sellers to keep the sale from getting blocked so hard.

Well, its half past two in the morning and my appointment at Buckingham Palace was called off, so I might as well stay here and wait ;-)

Wow, you had one of those too? What are the odds? ;)

You mean she let you in?
avatar
Stilton: You mean she let you in?
Not really. There was a bit of a tiff after she attempted to steal my lighter, and the whole meeting rapidly went downhill from there.

Did you ever pick up Shadowgate Crow, do you like it if you did?

Yes, I finally did, and what a mess it was.

I bought the basic version a while back, then saw the special edition was on sale for less than what I paid for the basic a month earlier.
Got pissed off, said to hell with it, then finally caved and spent 6 dollars to get the special edition.

I didn't get very far, but I liked what I saw in that time. Looking forward to running through it in full.

I got it here both times.

OK, I must just be blind. I thought you had it but didn't see it.
I blame it all on the drugs. :-)

It's okay. My GOGwiki's probably still showing everything by purchase date. Haven't switched it back because I want to copy any serial numbers the new games have. After that, I'll have everything back to normal and updated.

She can be a bit grumpy like that.

Which reminds me of when I used to work in London's West End theatres doing backstage humping and shifting for shows. It was evening work mostly and I used to get the train to Victoria Station, about half a mile from Buckingham Palace. This particular evening I was walking past and the gates opened and a motorcycle outrider and black limo came out. It was getting dark and there was no one else around and I waited at the curb for the two of them to pass. There was someone alone in the back of the car and as it passed I realised it was the Queen. So I looked at her and she looked at me and I thought, 'Shit, that's the Queen, what do I do? Bow, curtsy, blow a kiss?' By which time the car has passed leaving me a tad dazed. The odd thing was the way we just looked at each other for like five seconds, both of us expressionless. Surreal. Like Special Agent Cooper looking at the llama.

I've heard of people falling into those and never being seen again.

The strangeness of life. It's fun sometimes. -laughs-
