CarrionCrow: Not well at the moment. Trying to use drug gum when everyone around you is still smoking away....that's a challenge for someone a hell of a lot less addicted than I am, with a hell of a lot more willpower.
At this point I'm transitioning, using the gum to take the place of a few hours consumption of cigarettes at a time.
In between that, trying to get someone else to quit along with me.

EndreWhiteMane: Understandable, hard to smell it and stay off. I was going to try a new years resolution thing but between being trapped in the house by the weather and my anxiety disorder bullshit I think that's not a good plan. I'm going to shoot for March 1st again when I get back out in the garden. I have a freezer full of NR stuff so I'll just save it till then.
Not unless you feel like spending the winter wanting to climb the walls even more than you already would...
I keep thinking that the gum's not going to cut it in general. Only have two speeds for this - full-bore or nothing, and if I try going full-bore with drug gum I'll end up poisoning myself -laughs- , so it might be time to reevaluate the plan and gear up for stopping all together.

You'll never clear your wishlist if you get everything in triplicate. =)

I've had the best luck with patches to keep the withdrawal down and lozenges for the sudden cravings. It's worked for me twice now so I'll go the same way this time.

I hope that it works out for you when you get to that point. You've gotten six months before, that's a damn sight better than I've been able to pull off.
I wish I could have a dog but my current income is too low to take good care of one (meaning good food and a good veterinary ). I also would need an indoor breed that does not mind a small apartment and an owner who want companionship as much as he wants to be left alone.

My brother (but really his wife) has a small poodle looking dog who behaves like a cat, and my sister has one that looks like Benji who always try to establish his dominance. They're both less than two years old and adorable. I want to hug them and squeeze them and call them George (but my brother's dog is female).

CarrionCrow: Yes, I am, and I'm planning on rewatching the first along with watching the other two in the trilogy. =)
Then you might also consider watching and [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0491244/]Triad Election, perhaps even Triangle.

Have you thought of trying the e-cigarette way? A friend of mine switched to it, and gradually used e-liquids with less and less nicotine, until he reached the nicotine-free level (in about 3 months, IIRC), and then quit altogether.

Haven't heard anybody use that phrase for ages. I love it! ;-)
I think maybe a miniature Dachshund might just work for you.

I tried them earlier this year, OK but don't resemble the real thing at all. Get done puffing on one and still want to go out and light up. :/

I've considered it. Problem is, I'm just weird. If I'm going to still be on the drug, I'll end up getting it the way I prefer. The endgame will have to be quitting cold, being miserable in general for a while and getting off of it.
You know what I wish they'd make a video game version of?
Kult. Old pen and paper game where every character had some horrible dark secret and was usually fourteen kinds of insane, dealing with horrible demon creatures and the entire world was nothing but an illusion created by the overlord deity, with madness and horror underneath.
Think it'd make a good kid's game. Maybe Nintendo could put it out.
Waiting to watch The Christmas Story 24 hour marathon. It starts in one hour here. Will watch it once completely and then bits and pieces of it another 10 or so times. Holiday tradition.

Night!

And if anyone is into animation and hasn't watched it, I recommend The Croods, good stuff like they used to make them.

Not quite my speed, but if you're looking for a good animated show, I'd recommend Black Lagoon. One of the best shows I've ever seen, animated or not.
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you have a great one! We haven't opened a present yet, and its already been such a fantastic holiday. We just finished a great supper with a bunch of friends, both old and new, as well as the greatest neighbors a family could possibly have.

People keep recommending this one, ans while I'm not big on shows (don't have the patience for them), I'm making a note of this one.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Is your boy better?
