di0nizus: In case you haven't bought it here already... now's your chance to get it ;)
Thank you very much for this thread. One less game on the wish list.

Is this their first giveaway with a GOG code or did I miss any? I didn't even know Prime Gaming was a thing.

TT_TT_TT_TT: All games acquired during a prime gaming membership are being yours "forever" even with prime subscription ending (no matter if the key in the end is for Origin, GOG, Epic or for Amazon's own launcher). So ya the GOG Key for control from that Promo is a "proper" GOG key like actually buying the game here.

Orkhepaj: hmm not bad , works with free trials too?

This claims https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=G6RZ3AA6NQMCKYEM

"Amazon Prime Free Trial members enjoy all the same benefits as paid members."

So that would hint at a yes.

idbeholdME: Interesting. Wouldn't have expected a GOG game to ever show up with something like this. Although I don't use Amazon Prime, kind of interested in how many people will be hearing about GOG for the first time :P
A fair few, the problem with these kinda promos (as Epic know too well) is giving away free titles results in such a tiny amount of conversion to paying users, with GOG offering codes it also knocks down the value of the title e.g. Ghostrunner was given away last month and all the grey market key sites were then selling GOG keys for 20p.

It's a double edge sword, flex to shareholders on new account creations at the cost of devaluing products and rarely seeing paid conversion, or miss out on exposure to people

Last month Amazon Prime gave away Ghostrunners as well, I'm not going to complain seeing how I can just get the key from my mom's Amazon Prime subscription.

Also the GOG version? Wasn't aware that this was happening until this thread. I do have both a Twitch and an Amazon account so if the free trial is enough, might as well grab it for free.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, Linko said the GOG version.

As an experienced cheapskate myself I can confirm that yes, you also get the games on Amazon during free trials. ;)
And in December it'll have another GOG key for a game from 505 Games. After redeeming the Ghostrunner key, an email was sent with this link. If you got to the end of that page you can see the confirmation.

My guess is that the December game will be Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Pro-tip: Start the subscription month at the end of November, get games from November + December. ;P

Bloodstained seems very optimistic though.

Yep, that's a great tip :).

As for Bloodstained being the next game, imo it's not that unrealistic. If someone said a month or two ago that Prime Gaming would be offering GOG keys for Ghostrunner and Control: Ultimate Edition, I would have doubted it. After it turning out to be true, Bloodstained seems like a good follow up.

Yeah, was about to ask when do the games change and whether it would be possible to grab games from 2 months :D

Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the games become available in the 1st day of the month, and the free trial runs for a whole month.

Ik you already got answer but yes, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned Ghost Runners.
They actually give a surprising amount of games and goodies, ofc not worth getting the subscription just for the games since they generally aren't that good and probably have lots of DRM
I would like Bloodstained too, another possibility is Journey to the Savage Planet, although I prefer Bloodstained.
Amazon Will do anything to get you signed up to Amazon prime, must be expensive sending the chosen one off to space on his giant cock rocket (or phalic probe if you prefer, who knows what mods round here will ban next).
