I actually saw a paper company once that'd give you a seed packet of trees for every package of paper you bought, to make up for what they cut down or whatever.

With the prize money they can probably just afford to buy a home in L.A.

Since I don't play the lottery, nor any games where my chance of winning is equal or less than 50%, I just sit back and relax.

I play on the off chance that I win. My reasoning: I can afford $8 a week. I play that because if it ever DOES hit, then it's the best day ever. But your chances of winning, while non-existent are infinitely better than if you don't buy a ticket. Call it a pleasant surprise when I get anything. I don't play hoping to win, but rather because someone has to win, and if my numbers come up, then it's better to have a ticket to claim than not.
