Maybe GOG should sell some Commodore 64 games here...
You can already buy a few C64 games at itch.io and it wouldn't hurt to sell them on GOG too:

https://itch.io/search?q=c64

But i guess most people just want the old C64 classics and it would probably be difficult to get the rights for those.
For starters I would be happy with Steam, EA-Origin & UBIWhatevertheirstoreiscalled. The games on these platforms should in most cases compatible to normal PCs and in the past had some example already been successful ported. :)

You're not familiar with , [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAME]MAME, etc.?...

I understand & appreciate the desire to own legitimate copies of games & other media (I share it myself and repurchased certain things such as games, music, PDFs, etc...), but this thread seems a little needless...
Commodore 64

I'd be happy to see some spectrum games here. Not all though. The benefit of having them here would be that they would work (in my experience). Also legal. Then there is the infamous R13:Tape Loading Error (any Speccy fans remember that one? Of course not using the deadflesh keyboard would be a bonus.

I doubt if there is a market for individual games, but a compilation of say 10, running through an emulator set up by GoG would be fun.
10 adventures
10 flight sims
etc.
I also think those games should be sold in (large) compilations.
